“One of the things I love most about small towns in the USA is stores like this.They don't have EVERYTHING the giant stores have, but they're not trying to.That's not why you shop here.You shop here because you understand that customer service has value. That being treated like a human is important, because it allows you to grow.The prices are reasonable, not out of line with anywhere else.But here's the thing:When you shop at either of the BIG 2, the money does not stay in your local economy. It goes to their corporate offices, and then the profits get disbursed out to their shareholders.When you shop at a store like this, you are feeding the area you live in. The money you spend here stays in the area and gets re-spent in the area.I've had conversations with a few of the people working there, no idea if they are the owner or manager or whatnot, but it honestly doesn't matter.I will check there when I need things in that area, first, because I believe shops like this are essential to the strength of our economy.”
