All in all, this was the worst car experience I have ever had.I asked them to replace my shocks and struts. They used the wrong springs for my Jetta. The car was literally 5 inches taller in the front. My husband jokingly called my car the ‘mini SUV’ when he saw it, because it looked so awful. There was a large gap between tire and wheel well. My car felt completely different, clunky and stiff. They charged me $1,091 to ‘fix’ my car.I brought my car back, and spoke with the mechanic. I showed him the issues and told him he did something wrong, and I was guessing he used the wrong parts. He said the parts were ‘new’ and it would ‘settle’. Wait, what?! Seriously, he must have thought that because I’m a woman, I know nothing about cars.I brought my car to the Volkswagen dealership, and asked them to look at it, since Cheshire had screwed it up so badly. Dealership told me that Cheshire used the wrong spring.Dale at Cheshire had ordered the springs from dealership, but he didn’t realize my vehicle was the Sport model (Jetta SE).I told Dale that I had lost confidence in them, and was bringing my car to the dealership to fix their mistakes; because they made so many mistakes along the way and I was worried they would still not fix it correctly. Also, when I initially left my car for repairs, they didn’t fix anything. They had called my old cell, and never reached me. I had provided them new number. I asked if my car was safe to drive. Was told it was fine. It was not. I had to have my car towed because a large piece of spring snapped off.Another serious issue:They used the wrong oil in my Turbo engine. Calls for full synthetic. I had to have oil drained, and flushed, to avoid damage to engine. Dale claimed that they used the right oil, and that this is how it comes up in their computer system. I think he is untrustworthy. The dealership replaced the springs with correct ones. I spent an additional $600 in labor. In total, I spent $1,691 on this repair.Oh, did I mention that The rear brakes that Cheshire replaced, one YEAR ago, are already worn? The VW dealer told me this. I brought this up with Dale. He claimed the dealership was lying. Then he asked me “what I want him to do.” I said I wanted him to stand behind his work, and he should replace them, because they had clearly done shoddy work, and I should not need to replace them. He said he “wasn’t working on my car” and “we’re done”.In Dale’s defense he did offer to redo the shocks/struts, after they messed everything up, but I would have been foolish to think they were even capable at that point. I told Dale that I was disappointed in him, and that I had brought my (old car) s Saab, to them for years, and they used to do good work. I also told him that I would be writing a review and sharing photos of their work. He said that was “threatening”. His response was inappropriate, to say the least. He then told me there would be “retaliation”.From a customer service standpoint, Dale, you are very shortsighted.

Worst car repair experience ever. Had to spend an extra $600 at VW dealership to correct Cheshire's mistakes. They used the wrong springs for my Jetta. The car was literally 5 inches taller in the front. My husband jokingly called my car the 'mini SUV' when he saw it, because it looked so awful. There was a large gap between tire and wheel well. My car felt completely different, clunky and stiff. They charged me $1,091 to 'fix' my car. I brought my car back, and spoke with the mechanic. I showed him the issues and told him he did something wrong, and I was guessing he used the wrong parts. He said the parts were 'new' and it would 'settle. Wait, what?! I brought my car to the Volkswagen dealership, and asked them to look at it, since Cheshire had messed it up so badly. Dealership told me that Cheshire used the wrong springs. How could they not have noticed how they made my car look, and how it handled? Also, when I first left my car for repairs, they didn't fix anything. I needed my car back, and I asked if it was safe to drive. Was told it was fine. It was not. I had to have my car towed because a large piece of spring snapped off. Another serious issue: They used the wrong oil in my Turbo engine. Their error could have ruined my engine. Ended up bringing car to dealership, to fix mistakes. Because of Cheshire's errors, I spent an additional $600 in labor. In total, I spent $1,691 on this repair. I told Dale I would be writing a review and sharing photos of their work. He said that was "threatening". He then told me there would be "retaliation".

My daughter just bought a car from here and the next day, the key broke - they won't take it back. Buyer beware.

I had an emergency repair. CV joint let go on my subaru. Tried another local place 1st but they couldn't even get the car in that day. Called Cheshire and he not only got the car in but got the car fixed by 4 PM that day.. He called me within an hour of the car arriving with an estimate and finished the car cheaper than what the estimate was. Very satisfied customer.Service: General repairs & maintenance

The sale went fine. There was quite a bit wrong with it that I wasn’t aware of when I bought it. He did fix the problems however, every week something went wrong with it. Not a good place to buy a car.

If I could give zero stars I would. I bought a 2006 Subaru Forrester here and on the way home the head gasket blew.. against my better judgement though I trusted Dale (one of the owners) and decided to let him fix it and not return the car. Every month for 6 months I had to take it for repairs and then when I tried to sell the car I found out that Dale had lied to me and sold me a car that had been in a wreck. He took advantage of a pregnant woman who was looking for a safe family car and he is scum. I've heard other stories from people I've met and they've screwed over quite a few people. Don't trust these guys but especially Dale. Seriously don't walk but run in a different direction.

Dale works really hard trying to make it responsible pricing for car repairs! Thank you very much! We had a really bad experience with another garage! Dale takes that into consideration and works with us through everything! Thank you so much!!!!!
