It's the airport, if you are flying it's probably fine, but as a local, really not convenient. No parking and airport restrictions. The indoor counter is closed so you have to go out to the garage to their little shed. Once you find the shed, you wait in the cold. Pick up day the guy was fine but definitely not welcoming or friendly. Did the minimum and went about his day. Car was nice, not particularly clean, picture of the seat at pick up for reference, but again fine. We had a great trip. Drop off day a second guy was prompt, very friendly, what customer service should be, made sure everything was good and that we were happy with experience. When I got home I realized we left a souvenir in the car. I fully understand that was our mistake, but we raced back to the airport to try to retrieve it. Again, no parking, so not the easiest task. It was right where we left it and we were very happy it was not thrown out. Tolls- be careful when driving through toll booth, yes it is in your agreement, but a few weeks after rental I had an additional charge for tolls. I brought the EZ pass from my own car, thinking that would be fine, but still got an $11 charge for convenience of their toll by plate number service. Paid the $1 on my transponder, and the Hertz plate toll fees. Chose Hertz over competitors bc it was the cheapest option for the large car I wanted. When factoring in insurance and toll charges, no longer the cheaper option. I will stick to my regular local rental company.

I have had really good luck with Hertz in Manchester (MHT). No waiting, prompt service, clean cars, competitive prices and professional staff. You can probably find a rental car at MHT that is a little bit less money but don't be shocked if you're hanging around for an hour waiting in lines and waiting for a car. I have to fly up every 4 to 5 weeks so I have some experience with the rentals out of that airport.

DO NOT RENT AT THIS PLACE. Drive the extra mile and get a car somewhere else. Manager is a prick. Sent my mother there to pick up a car I had rented for her, with her broken English, her poor soul, got swept up in something she didn’t understand, and with his upgrades, ended up having her pay 2x more from the original price. Disgraceful and disgusting. It’s not business when the other party doesn’t understand.

Rented a car with them September 8-10 to drive to a reunion on Lake Winnipesaukee. The rental was fine. When I returned it, the guy who took the keys told me I'd get an email. I assumed I had; didn't come through. Fast forward a week and we get a letter from Hertz saying that I didn't return the car. I called the 1-800 number and the people I spoke to barely spoke English. I've now had three conversations with people and no resolution. I even tried calling the Manchester Hertz and their voice mail is full. Do not trust or use this location, and probably Hertz altogether. Will be switching to National.

The WORST. 30+ minute wait, whilst the single rep happily chats with other customers and coworkers. No sense of urgency. No gold service whatsoever.

Don't waste your time or money here. Period whole waste of time. Take the drive or flight to Logan International

As a 5-Star Gold member who has traveled the world with Hertz over decades, this was EASILY THE WORST service I've ever received at a Hertz location. If I could give negative stars, I would. For starters, the franchisee is too cheap to buy a board to post cars on. So when you arrive after midnight, following a trying cross-country journey with your family on a hot, humid, rainy, summer night you have to wait on line an additional 30 minutes (outside, un-airconditioned in the garage) for one slow, annoyingly talkative, computer illiterate associate to service the (2!) people in front of you (imagine if the line was long!).He will then take another 10 minutes babbling aimlessly and single-finger-pecking through the computer to find your reservation.Lest you put the bags, family, and kids in the car, and put the keys in the ignition thinking you're Hertz Manchester nightmare is over, then you find out the car they rented you won't start (yes, really). After being very frank with this employee, and then graciously waiting another 10 minutes until the gentleman in front of me on line was finished, I was given another car and left. But not before the nincompoop behind the counter was told politely to shut up and type, because he thought it would be a good time to:1. Tell jokes that he was old enough to have rented arks to Noah (yes, really)2. Tell me that I could have been out of there 45 minutes earlier if I had just cut the line as a 5* Gold member (Bear in mind, again there is NO SIGN ANYWHERE saying that is an allowable privilege for 5*s at this facility. Would you be happy if another customer cut you in line?)3. Say "Our facility is not busy enough to pay for a board" (And with that attitude, it never will be. BTW, ever heard of a dry-erase board? I hear they're cheap at Staples.)This franchisee and employee should be terminated for not adhering to Hertz standards. I do not recommend this location to anyone.

Hertz rent a car which is advertised as being at the Manchester airport however it is no longer there - you need to catch a shuttle bus (there are many for various hotels etc however you just need to know which one) - we asked one of the many buses who stop there which one we should get. After waiting over half an hour, we finally were taken to a hotel about 10 minutes drive from the airport and found the Hertz desk. We would never have found it on our own. Hertz should change their pick up details from their advertised location which is why we chose them as it was supposed to be at the airport itself. We were allocated a fairly new hybrid vehicle. We checked the outside of the vehicle and found that one of the panels at the front had come loose and was hanging - it had come unclipped from the clips under, however we - and Hertz staff - were not able to clip it back in. They tried to get us to take the vehicle anyway, however we refused and said we would like another vehicle which did not have issues. Reluctantly they agreed and eventually we were given another vehicle which was very good.I don't understand how they would not have known about the panel as it had been washed and cleaned etc.

I guess because it's a regional airport, this Hertz isn't 24 hours. Which is fine. But then, I had to go through the extra step of filling out the form with mileage, date, and time and slipping it into the Hertz after-hours box. Unless there are issues of theft with rental cars, couldn't the key be left in the car?

I strongly advise to use their amazing facebook chat for any questions because this location never picks up their phone

Made renting a car VERY easy after my flight got cancelled. Tried three different numbers for Enterprise and they failed at every turn. I wasn't able to get through to a number for Hertz, but their website was quick and easy. The lady at the airport kiosk was very helpful too, especially during a stressful time. Will be using Hertz in the future!

Using Priceline, I rented a car from Dollar, but Hertz had the keys (I don't know why, but that's ok). Reason for the 5 stars: They gave me the keys, were polite, and it took about 5 seconds. No hassle, no issues, no trying to "upsell" anything. Fast and efficient. Thank you.

This location is sub-par when compared to many of the other Hertz locations in the US. As a President's Circle member, I'm used to a Gold board on arrival and upgrades on vehicles, there was a multiple person line at the Gold booth to pick up and no choice in vehicle provided, which OK, smaller airport. Larger issue occurred on drop off when there was no attendant to process the rental on drop off, and an hour overcharge on a rental that was returned over an hour early. Will look for other options when visiting New Hampshire.
