I've been going to Bob to sell, trade, and buy silver for the last year or so, as I prefer to support a local shop if given the chance.Bob always gives me at least spot for generic, and a tad more for sovereign stuff. I tend to sell silver and purchase gold, and his gold prices are very fair. With a wealth of knowledge of precious metals, minting, etc.; Bob has been around for over 50 years for a reason.Highly recommended.

Selling bulk silver for 7 or 8 bucks over spot and will insult you instead of doing business. Good place to get hosed for silver coins or robbed on the street walking to your car.

Arrived way late while they were preparing to close. Received friendly and helpful service. Bought 40oz of silver bars, paid and left. The next day I suddenly realized I did not get a receipt. Went back and the owner remembered my purchase and graciously honored my request for a receipt. The shop is clean, not flashy but well kept. Their business model does not appear to be how much product they can stock or how well they can display it… but simply what they know and can pass on about what they are selling. Hours are a bit odd for my schedule but I adamantly encourage those seeking coins or bullion for hobby or investment to give them a chance to win you over.

Was a little hesitant to go with some of the negative reviews. Have been twice, Bob and his partner were helpful, friendly and patient. Got items at a better price than anywhere I saw online. I think some of the negative reviewers don't realize that business have overhead and need to sell at a profit... He even worked with me on the price of something too. Also answered questions I had about some dollar bills I didn't even have with me.

Came in to buy gold ozs. He refuses checks even if you don’t pick up till funds clear. I offered to go get the cash from the bank he refused sale…. to busy calculating the profits from his latest purchase in Rye… those people must have taken a serious bath…

The old man is rude. I do not recommend going here if you want to learn or buy coins. Horrible man.

Bob is very direct, knowledgeable and fair. If he believes you can get a better price elsewhere, he will tell you. Worth your time to meet with him.

So far every coin I’ve purchased from Bob and his wife has been worth more than what I paid for them…PERIOD! 10 coins purchased so far and each one was a great deal! Bob is very knowledgeable, kind and fair. His wife is also. If anyone has old coins to bring in to sell him just remember,it doesn’t matter what you saw on EBay. It doesn’t matter if the same type of coin you have, sold on EBay for such and such amount of money. It doesn’t matter because every coin is graded differently and the little things matter. One error, variety or mint mark can make the difference between a $2 and $2,000 sale. Remember that the person you are selling to is a dealer and he needs to make money too. I hate that some people have a hard time understanding this. If you need to make EXACTLY what your coins are worth than you can try your luck on EBay. But good luck because there are many shysters on that site.Thank you Bob and family. I appreciate that there is a coin dealer in town that knows his stuff and isn’t out to take my shirt. Seriously I knew very little and he still treated me very well. I don’t even question the price when I buy from him. Ever. I only wish the dealers on EBay conducted themselves the same way. Thanks a million!

Been here a few times, each time purchasing coins. The lady is very nice! Bob on the other hand is not. Do not expect to barter at all. I bartered on a few coins he said no so I went to go get cash to pay full price for them and he pulled one of the coins away, saying the price was to low and refused to sell it to me. Bob went on and said " if you don't like the price don't come here" he then scolded us for trying to barter while another customer was in the shop. Very rude and awful experience. Won't be back I suggest looking for a different coin dealer or stop by when bob isn't around. If we can't barter what makes him think he can raise his prices from what's placed on the coins?
