I got married this year at another venue so I will preface this review with the fact that I have not been to the property. I am sure it is beautiful.I am deleting old emails and felt compelled to share this email I received when I submitted an inquiry and asked if there was any opportunity to tour on a weekend:"No. We have a wedding booked every weekend and we offer an exclusive package. No one other than wedding guests are allowed ons the property and I won't have time for you. If you would like a tour, you'll have to find time midweek.Let me know and I will set up a time. Cheers"If this is the service that prospective brides get from a $30,000 venue, I can't imagine it gets much better once they have your money. Feeling like I dodged a bullet here for sure. Cheers!

Ogontz is now serving the public on Sunday's from 12 until 7pm. Our family stopped by today and my husband and I had BBQ brisket and our daughter had the chicken salad. It was amazing and the view is even better. It might be one of the most beautiful places I've visited in my lifetime.

It's kinda like the Comman man, but so much BETTER!!! ? No joke this is one of our secret spots, that's no going to be a secret that much longer. I want to keep it all to myself lol, but really I gotta give it to them!!! This is our yearly winter vacation spot and if you want to be a bit off grid, in the mountains, surrounded by waterfalls and rivers and lakes, while spending quality time with your family, riding snowmobiles, or ATVs, hikng etc etc .. I couldn't recommend coming here more!!! This is one of the best places ever, gorgeous, so unique, the log cabins , the wildlife, I could literally go on and on!!!. This place is year round amazingnes!Thank you OgantzLove,The Johnson's

We used Ogontz for our wedding and it was beautiful. We had some trouble with communication but it always got sorted out. They work hard with you to ensure your visions can be met or compromise for something extremely similar. Our wedding weekend was truly amazing and beautiful. The food was incredible, I personally loved the smoked salmon at cocktail hour and the eggplant parmesan and scalloped potatoes. The staff was super friendly and overly accommodating to our guests. It was over all an amazing experience. It may be a little pricey but in the end it was truly relaxing and fun. The fireworks at the end, was like nothing you'd ever seen before, well worth it.Kyle and Tori 2022

My husband and I got married here July 31st, 2022! It was a dream come true. We wanted an all inclusive summer camp weekend with our family and friends and it surpassed all expectations. Ryan was amazing to book with, Jocelyn was extremely organized and led the culinary team to knock it out of the park and Dave was our knight in shining armor attending to our every need for the weekend. After guests arrived and checked into their cabins, we had an amazing pig roast for the welcome dinner on Saturday night followed by a bonfire with smores. On Sunday, everyone enjoyed the property with swimming, hiking, kayaking, etc before our wedding ceremony at 3:30pm. I have received so many compliments and "BEST WEDDING EVER" from so many guests - I'm so proud! The food, venue, staff and service was unbelievable and they really gave me the opportunity to enjoy the weekend worry-free!There were so many moving parts and everything went perfectly according to plan - I wouldn't change anything about our amazing camp wedding weekend!!

We spent about 4 nights here and absolutely loved it it was amazingly beautiful. The gardening grounds were absolutely lush and beautiful. The swimming lake was crystal clear fish everywhere kayaking was so much fun. Our kids love hiking up the Creek spotting freshwater rock falls, freshwater animals and flying animals and all the foliage. We couldn't have asked for a better way to disconnect. The food was very good wonderful flavors fresh and inviting. I wanted to bottle the Italian dressing and take it home with me. the dining hall reminded me of my summers at camp. The pianos throughout the camp made my daughter very happy she played often it helped her abit over her fear of playing in front of people.I only have 2 critiques.I do wish there had been maybe more bonfire access here and there I'm sure if we requested it we could have but we didn't. And some of the mattresses definitely need to be replaced but other than that everything was wonderful.

A great find in a great location! The staff, especially Ryan, go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and address any concerns. My wife has celiac disease and they have almost all food gluten free optional! Much to do, such as canoeing, hiking, and relaxing by the lake on the premises and you're just a short drive from Littleton and the White Mountains. It's comfort camping, not a hotel, but if that's what you're looking for you can't do better.

We have been coming here for years for different camps. Always awesome. Yes, rustic and charmingly old, and , yes, close to nature and nature has bugs in it, but no better place to eat amazing bbq pork tacos after an active day and then go swim in the waterfall and light a bonfire.

Great way to get an unique stay in New Hampshire. The first feeling I got after visiting this place is- "Live free or die"I loved the ambience, the perks in and around, the super friendly staff and the good food we had.Certain small things we would suggest are- we couldn't get ice-cream cause it wasn't available, kayaking life-saving jackets need to be replaced/cleaned, better access to fire pit (by having more units if possible).Overall, a very unique stay that definitely demands to be repeated for me! Recommended highly :)

Just perfect!! Went there expecting a rustic, woodland adventure stay experience and be disconnected from the hustle and bustle and it did not disappoint! Stayed for the 4th July weekend with a bunch of friends in the Adirondack style cabins and it was wonderful! Ryan is a superhost! Really surprised to see the bad reviews as the entire stay was more than wonderful! The cabin: About a 100 years old! Super huge, clean, can easily sleep 5/6. Mattresses and covers are old but comfortable. No issues with bugs, water etc. Note: There is just 1 electric port so you might want to bring an extension cord. The bathrooms are common for the cabins but are enough and separate for men and women. The resort: Awesome! Wonderful views of the lake, enough kayaks, boats, paddleboards, beautiful swimming dock, plenty of lawn games, beautiful wood fired hot tub next to a small waterfall. The food and drinks in the cafe are great. Be cautious as we underestimated the quantity and over-ordered a lot! I strongly recommend the pesto Pizza!Definitely worth the visit given the cost and amenities! Just pack your bags and take off for a nice rustic experience! Ryan, thank you for a perfect stay!

It was awful staying here, the walls were peeling and there were bugs EVERYWHERE in the walls, in the holes in the floors, etc. I would definitely not recommend or come back. The couches and beds looks like they have not been cleaned for a very long time. Not only the food was terrible and it is a very unsanitary place, we stayed in the log hall which was the biggest most expensive one which had a kitchen that was very disgusting the plug in stove they provided hardly worked and for 3 days we could not cook and were forced to buy the overpriced food which as I said before was very very bad. The doors were broken when we came and I felt totally unsafe staying here. During our stay, there were spiders crawling on me and the service from the people terrible. I can’t believe We had to pay a mandatory service fee for 76 dollars and Cleaning fee of 75 dollars when it was hardly clean when we reached and the service was horrendous. Overall aTotal waste of money and would not come back for any reason.

Ogontz is a beautiful place for families. This property is located in beautiful Lyman, NH and the views did not disappoint. We stayed in the Sutherland Cabin which is 100 years old! This experience was great for our kids. The cabin was historically kept. The books throughout are really interesting to look at. It's like being in a old library. Their is a piano and a record player for the real nostalgia. This cabin is huge. Much bigger than expected which was a nice surprise. The kitchen was small but who needs a big kitchen in the woods! The dining room was cute to sit in as a family and play cards. The living room is the shower of this cabin. The fireplace is huge and kept clean. They load you up with wood to burn your whole stay. At night you will want that fire! The furniture is old but it's part of the experience! I saw some reviews that really upset me because they do not lie to you. They tell you it's 100 years old ! They are not here to offer modern amenities and electronics. This is a outdoor, mountain experience. If your scared of a few spiders and Flys you might not wanna go stay in a 100 year old cabin expecting it to be fancy. It's all about bringing it back to the basics. My kids needed the break from the everyday hustle and bustle and all the screens! They were forced to play outside which what parent doesn't want that! This place offers everything you could think of for your kids to play with. Lawn games Galore. A tennis hut filled with toys, balls, badminton , etc. Board games. Everything. I'm missing so much. Back to the cabin. The bedroom was very comfortable. We really enjoyed the vibes this cabin offers. The linens were clean and towels were laid out on each bed. This cabin has 2 bathrooms! Count em 2! What a lifesaver when you have 2 kids ! Ample space for your belongings. Water Temps were fine. Everything in the cabin worked. The back bedroom has 2 twin beds for the kids and they thoroughly enjoyed jumping back and fourth on them a few times. It truly felt like a second home really quick. We also brought our Dog who loved the trip more than anyone. She needed to breathe that outdoor air and swim in a lake! Bring your dog you won't regret it! She slept by the fire at night and chased squirrels by day. The dining hall is really pretty. They have alot of different drinks. A smaller menu but makes it easier for choosing. The prices were okay. My husband's only complaint was that for a family of 5 it was a little pricey on top of what we paid to stay plus the fact some things were extra money like the 4th of July BBQ which they wanted us to pay 25 a head to eat and have ice cream. We brought my sister as a reference for who we had. 3 adults 2 kids and a dog. The price point for the stay was really good thou just wasn't expecting to have to pay for a few things but thats OK. They made up for it with the wood fire hot tub. They really come thru with this experience. I'd say this was my families favorite thing. The waterfall sits directly behind the hottub which is literally a wood burning fire to keep it hot and the water is directly brought in from the waterfalls ! You just let the front desk know you'd like to use it and they give you times it's available. The most breathtaking experience there. Make sure to go down to the lake and use all the equipment free of charge on the lake. Kayaks paddleboards tubes life jackets etc. This was really convenient. I could go on and on about this place! It really was worth it and is a experience we will always remember. Make sure to go to Littleton about 20 min away and visit the world's line candy bar. Your kids will love it.
