I'd give zero stars if it was an option but it's not. Worst fuel company on the planet. We pre paid for fuel to be dropped BEFORE the snowstorm. It's now been 4 days, no drop. We were told it was impossible for a truck to deliver yet trucks were out during the storm delivering. After making us pay after hour prices. Not only do we use propane for heat, but also to cook and for hot water as well. It's been so close to empty (under 5%) for days and Irving's solution was space heaters. All while having children and animals in the house as well. Who needs to feed or bathe them after all? Switching companies as soon as we are able after this bullshit experience. Called again this morning and were told no delivery today either. Since when does fuel get delivered one day a week to the entire town of Canaan?

Absolute worst company to deal with. Technicians aren’t competent. Customer service is non existent. What ever you do, avoid this company! No heat for months, thousands spent at their direction with no solutions in sight.

I'm disappointed that Google wont allow me to give Irving zero stars. Our condo association has a commercial contract with Irving and every year they over-bill our owners - this year at almost the double contract. Why? After our association president reminded the rep for weeks that the contract was due to expire he still couldn't offer the contract on time, then pressed us to sign the day he found time to send the contract. The result? Yet another year with month's of requests and aggravation for our community. I next will file Vermont Attorney General's Consumer Assistance Program.

The Irving technician showed up less than two hours after I called to report that our furnace was not working. He diagnosed and repaired the problem quickly. I discovered that he was the same tech who helped us out about a year ago when we had a problem. On that occasion he diagnosed a more serious issue which led him to contact the furnace manufacturer, and we ended up getting a new furnace under warranty that Irving installed for us. The service that we have gotten from Irving has been excellent.

My heater kept running so I called Irving to fix it. Well that was a mistake. He said he fixed it , gave me a 190.00 bill. 20 minutes later I heard a pop and water was gushing out everywhere. I called Irving back and said someone needs to come out here right away as I was emptying buckets after buckets. 40 minutes later a technician came out and fixed it correctly. A week later I received another bill for 326.00The first guy didn't do it right wtf. They want to give me a discount of 107.00 so I should pay 409.00 for their mistake. Never again. Especially after I've seen all the reviews . The worst part is no one ever even apologized for the water that came out everywhere, the heater was not leaking or gushing water before he came. I will not renew my contract with them Jennifer Kahn

I've had Irving fire a couple years. Delt with them in the past. Recently needed them to do work on my boiler. A tech came to the house and was extremely rude and unprofessional. Made my significant other feel like garbage. Telling her this was a terrible day to have this done. Told her she couldn't be in the basement with him. Took almost all day and they still didn't fix the problem. I wanted to check the work and see if I could do anything.I noticed the boiler running and making a noise it hadn't prior to them. I removed the front control panel and noticed the part was unplugged from it. All day and they couldn't notice that the plug n play part was unplugged? Useless. Hand us a bill for $800 and "oh well" I wonder how long they were wandering around trying to find the problem? I wouldn't use them if they weren't the cheapest. Horrible experience.

We went with Irving for our heating propane this year because of their price. Recently our propane heat stove broke down and we found out that Irving does not do any repairs or maintenance. Most other fuel suppliers will not work on appliances fueled by other companies, but Simple Energy came to our rescue. We'll be buying our propane from them next year. Goodbye Irving. Thank you Simple Energy!

Bought a cottage that had Irving Energy propane tank. Called for refill. They required an inspection before they would refill tank. Technician came and looked. Said it would be easy one-man job - under an hour - to check/replace any shut-off valves (3). Asked for quote. Waited four weeks, still no quote. Placed three or four more calls - finally quote arrive for $1800.00. Three techs needed? 3+ hours each? Can we all say "price gouge" together? Needles to say, we called another dealer and have new service with $zero repair charges. Now I can't get Irving Energy to pick up their tank from my front yard. 3 calls so far and counting. Anyone want some steel to recycle?

Terrible place to do business with. I am a commercial and residential customer and I am transferring my accounts to another supplier. Their service department is rude, inexperienced and inept. Don't use them unless you absolutely have to!

I had a service with Irving energy. They charged for both the labor and parts. The labor is reasonable, which is 250 for 2 hours. However, the parts are much more expensive than a reasonable prices, 3-5 times higher than the same things in home-depot. For example, Irving energy charged more than 120 dollars for a relief valve, which is only 29 in home depot! The same Cast Iron Circulator is 89 in home depot. It charged for 260 dollars! Be aware of this, when you need services from them!
