I put a $1300 deposit down on a leather lay-z-boy chair in August 2023. It is now May 2024 and I have yet to see it. My husband and I have called Browns several times and they keep giving us excuses. Unfortunately this store has lost my business and my trust. I would just like a refund of the deposit I made 9 months ago!

DO NOT EXPECT PRODUCT WHEN ADVISED!We were told our $4,000. bed would arrive in approximately weeks. Yeah, nope! It was more like 5 weeks! And we were convinced to order special mattress cover that was $189, and that still hasn't arrived, over three months later! Delivery & set up was only good thing about it. They came when they said, & were quick & efficient.

My family and I have always purchased furniture from Brown Furniture in West Lebanon, New Hampshire. We will, however, never give them business again. Something sad has happened over the past year or two. I understand fairly new owners have taken over AND I know Covid has changed so many things and help isharder to come by. When I spend $3,600 on a recliner and wait 6 months for delivery, I definitely expect someone to return my phone call when I call after the fact with a question. There's something wrong when you walk into a store midday on a weekday because nobody returns your phone call and you find zero customers and one salesperson sitting behind the counter, there's something very wrong. I'd like to add that they also took a very expensive recliner back to their shop to repair and I don't believe they did anything to fix it. Returned it finally after having a conversation with the owner. Placed another call to their store earlier this week because we were missing the arm covers for the chair they had in for repair. My mother also called with no response! Bottom line here...do not patronize this store!

I bought a couch on July 1. I was told 6 weeks for delivery. It's now 10 weeks and customer service seems annoyed when I call. My salesman was a man. When I call he denied that he worked with me and said it was a woman. So between that weirdness and the crummy communication and the long wait, I'm not impressed.

Brown has been my go to for furniture since my adult life began in the upper valley 2005 and it will continue as such but, unfortunately, I feel compelled to write this so others are aware of potentially being lost in the shuffle. I decided to purchase a new couch (I love it) in May 2021 and was aware of the long wait due to COVID. I was initially told 6 months but 6 months turned into 15 months (again, no big deal ie COVID hiccups) and my couch was delivered August 2022. Upon delivery, I was told the store would be in touch regarding the remaining piece of my couch (a console). Fast forward to today, having heard nothing, I decided to stop in and inquire and long story short, it’s being delivered Saturday. At the store today, I got confirmation that it had been sitting around for months and I never would have gotten it otherwise. I’m very disappointed and I feel like I should be compensated in some way as I’ve been very patient and polite through this whole process.

Salesperson very helpful. If you don't see what you're looking for ask. There are many pieces in catalogs that can be ordered.

While the process of choosing furniture and fabric was fine, the wrong fabric was ordered for my recliner. We all make mistakes, but I would expect an apology and immediately reordering the chair in the correct fabric. Unfortunately, this didn't happen. I then never received a phone call when my chair did actually come in adding more wait time to an already significantly delayed process and again... no apology or acknowledgement of the issue.

I write this realizing that ordering furniture is a process, especially in these times of shortages, delays and uncertain staffing. Eleven months ago, I ordered and paid in full for a living room set for my parents. The styles and upholstery fabrics were chosen by my delighted mother; the visit was perfectly pleasant, and, while we were told it may be a few months before the furniture was ready, we were given to understand that we would be updated.It is now eleven months later. No word; no furniture; no response from any of the Brown' s Furniture management team to repeated requests for information about our order status, after an email and call in December were answered, tersely and testily, with a snappish message about inevitable delays and how stressful this was for them.This should have been a joyful occasion for my parents. It was to have been their first new living room set. Instead, it has become a new source of tension and worry.I wrote this only after three more inquiries over the past six weeks have gone unanswered.Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Brown Furniture. While they cannot control the factors in outsourced furniture- making and upholstering, they can make an effort to communicate with their customers and apprise them of what's going on.

Of course you can buy furniture anywhere these days, even online. But if you want to see and feel and sit on quality pieces, this is the best store in the area, by far. Without stores like this to shop at, I would probably keep my current living room set for another 20 years. Working with Danielle Field at Brown Furniture was the absolute best experience I could have had, and she made the process so much smoother than I was afraid it was going to become. She worked with us to choose the best upholstery (La-Z-Boy has an ungodly amount of choices to sort through), and she made she we were completely satisfied before putting the order through. No pressure, no gimmicks, no hassles. Now I just need to wait a few months (completely understandable) for delivery, but I have no doubt that my review will remain the same upon delivery. Don’t hesitate to go check out Brown, and if you can have Danielle help you while you’re there, even better!

Loved our experience with everyone at Brown Furniture! We got this beautiful dining table and sideboard, and couldn't be happier with our purchase. This pandemic has made the furniture search difficult and we are so glad we went with this great team. It was definitely worth the wait!

I appreciate the professional approach of Dennis, and everyone I came into contact with at Brown Furniture when we recently decided it was time to move on from the ‘this was your grandmother’s favorite chair and we want you to have it now’ approach to furnishing. We sold our old 1896 New England farmhouse with a two story barn attached. All the things that we had collected to go with her favorite chair just didn’t work anymore so this was more than just a new sofa and chair journey. Dennis was helpful, and extremely thoughtful when it came to helping us reimagine the space, looking at what could go where, how, and why. He took the time to create several possibilities, and go over all the options. The look was important but it was more about creating a comfortable living and dining area. We will look to Brown Furniture as we continue to maximize our space.

It is a lovely store. John helped me find a beautiful bed that fit my budget. He was the right combination of helpful and giving me my space. He wrote the info down on a card, no pressure, and when I called back he remembered me and processed the order with no hassle.
