I have been a member of AAA roadside assistance since 1993 and just had a horrendous experience- 1 star is too high a rating. I called at 716pm for a flat tire automated service sent a text that a local service center would arrive at 816 pm- fantastic! At 810pm received another automated message that a technician from a lock & key business an hour away would be there at 9pm. I called thinking this was an error since I am not locked out but had a flat was told "no they fix flats, none of our technicians are mechanics" and really had no apology for this delay in service. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was transferred to "Nathan" who said he is the supervisor for Maine, NH and I believe MA, he was pretty arrogant and relatively unapologetic for this crappy service. I asked who I could speak to about this experience and was told"I'm as high as you're going to get, we have a Board of Directors but they won't talk to you." Attempted to contact AAA via their New England website but no email address there to contact. Save your membership money people and use it for a tow instead!

The 5 stars is strictly for our local office. After a frustrating experience last month and a VERY frustrating experience during the snow storm this weekend I was confronted with the phone message system from hell while trying to get reimbursed for services I needed to procure and pay for (despite being provided by an AAA tow shop). After over an hour on the phone and 4 customer service reps I finally called the Keene office directly. They were very helpful and understanding.I will save my bad rating for AAA national, because they truly need some work (and need to reevaluate their "Peace of Mind" motto) but the local staff has been top notch.

I spent an hour on the phone being continuously transferred. Next, they said they would call back; they DID NOT. I had to get a taxi.

Years ago I gave AAA one-star. I've been there several times since then, and all has been good, so I'm changing this from the one-star (due to an unresolved issue) to a 5-star.

I placed my initial call at 01:27, which I immediately received a text telling me someone had been dispatched for me, and it would be no later than 02:45. At 02:14 I received a call and was told it would be "awhile". At 03:14 I missed a call to ask if I still needed help(of course I did, my car is broke down?!), which I called back to confirm, and was sent directly to a random tow services voicemail..At 03:17 I was again told they were working on it, and that it seemed it was harder to find someone at this hour. AGAIN I was sent a text saying someone was dispatched to me. When the land owner called to find out what was going on, he got told that my membership wasn't valid in the state I was calling from, are you serious?! When I called them back at 03:26 I got told no help was available till AFTER 06:00, I have now missed a days work. I have been a customer since 2008, and will not be continuing my membership. You claim to be a 24/7 service.. but have business hours?! You also leave me strung along well people drive by that could have possibility helped me, but I let them pass with the knowledge that AAA was on its way! Thank you so much for your help!!

After being a premier member for 6 plus years I will be severing this business connection permanently. I recently had a breakdown and was treated so shabbily by AAA. I was forced to get a car rental and Hertz is covered in my plan but there was no hertz so I had to go through Enterprise I was told I would be reimbursed it cost me $185 AAA sent me a check for $50 with no explanation whatsoever.$135 short !!!. Not to mention I wasn't reimbursed for the taxi ride I had to take from the breakdown site to Enterprise all because of their silly policies. Absolutely not worth the money they literally left me stranded on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere.

they let me down when I made a claim after a weather inclement. I end up paying $4K out of pocket. Not happy.

10+ year member here: They keep raising the price and taking away services. The last time I tried to renew to get a tow, they charged my card twice and said they would take care of it. They didn't. And then they wouldn't do the tow I needed. Same service is offered through lots of car insurance agencies and even Verizon, much cheaper. AAA is no longer what it used to be. Look elsewhere

Left me to die on the side of the road. Finally got my car towed 8 days later.
