I went in on a mission for waterproof boots and Michael was the most patient and helpful employee to work with especially with my pickiness (for lack of better term haha). A special appreciation for the ex-goalie, Roch, in the gun section who made a respectful donation to the hockey tournament in Hooksett for Autism! Your kindness did not go unnoticed!

The shipping is soooo sloooow... Usually need to allow 2 weeks to receive an item purchased... Everything they have is available on Amazon or Ebay and you get your item in 2 days... Regards

I visited Bass Pro Shop in Hooksett on 7/10/2024 with my wife to assist another family member picking out a handgun. It was his first handgun purchase and he wanted my opinion. I’m a retired New Hampshire Police Officer with 22 years of service. I have purchased several firearms from this store and had a great experience. My wife and I arrived before our family member and browsed the store, to include the gun counter, we used the restrooms and my wife left the store to get an item she forgot in the car at one point. When our family member arrived about 30 mins later we approached the gun counter and were initially ignored. I observed a few glances from employees and when an employee finally came over we asked to see a firearm. The employee said that he would need to see all our ID’s and directed a comment to my wife saying, “you’ve been taking pictures of guns” and that security had watched her taking photos. I didn’t know what he was talking about but my wife had taken a photo of a gun in the gun case because she liked the color scheme. Taken aback my wife said she took a photo of a gun. She’s done it before in that store and there isn’t anything posted that you can’t. She took a selfie with a stuffed moose as well, that wasn’t mentioned. He pressed a little more and seemed to be assuming we were trying to obtain a firearm illegally. Only when I showed him my retired police ID did he say he “felt better”. I asked him if there was an issue taking a picture of a gun. He said my wife could have sent a photo of the gun to somebody and that she had left the store at one point. It was an accusatory conversation. Our family member filled out the appropriate paperwork to purchase the handgun, after a delay the employee said was caused by store security deciding whether or not to allow the purchase. He further went onto explain that our family member would face a lengthy prison term and fine if he walked out of the store and provided us the firearm. He said that most of the security were ex law enforcement. I wasn’t going to write the review but I’ve spent a few thousand dollars in this store. To be followed around on surveillance for browsing and my wife confronted for taking a photograph of a gun is ridiculous. If the behavior was deemed “suspicious” by store security and ex law enforcement professionals, they should have approached and asked a few simple questions or called the local police department instead of being “secret squirrels” in the back room or having a counter employee make accusations and really ruin a family day. I handled two decades of investigations professionally and there is a proper manner to approach and speak to somebody. Having worked with civilian store loss prevention and store security hundreds of times this staff needs some work. Very disappointed. Attached is the photo my wife took that raised the red flag. C. Disappointed with Maui Jim as they dropped the ball! I custom ordered a pair of Lighthouse Maui HT lens along with 2 other pairs to see which would be best for me. Well long story short-.They were on back order and not one rep from MJ reached out to notify me.
I looked for a reputable company to make purchase through and Bass popped up. I quickly called, spoke with Chris T and he promptly searched for me and said He has a pair!!! I flew over Chris happily greeted me and I made the purchase!!! Thank you for stellar service A+++ Chris T!!!

I got my fishing license, new pole, and moon pie's. Prices were not awful. Their servers went DOWN in the middle of the day on a Saturday and that really slowed things down. Time to upgrade your tech. Everything should be redundant and should NEVER go down during production hours unless the services are redundant!

Judy the associate and Andy the manager were incredibly helpful and kind. Our daughter was looking for a specific fox plush that was stated to have only one in store. The wonderful staff tracked it down in a random part of store. Best customer service! Made our daughters evening which made ours pretty great. Thank you

Love this store, fair to slightly higher price wise, but always worth the quality! One of my favorite stores. As a tall and broad shoulder guy, I appreciate they have a tall size and a ton to choose from. Have used them for fishing, kayak gear, and clothes, and been very happy with everything!
