ADT has been the worst experience ever. They try to over sell you, and then never send anyone out to resolve issues. The system sucks, and it is just a hyge frustration. I wish I had read the reviews before signing on, I never would have signed up!So I want to add an update. I contacted ADP through the email they provided in their comment to me below from my review. They replied immediately to tell me to contact a different provider. So unhelpful. This is the experience I have had with them the entire time.

Make it impossible to cancel monitoring service. They will keep you on hold forever so that you will hang up.

I had the google Nest cameras installed . .EXCELLENT! My router got changed and my cameras had to be put on my new router.....several virtual appointments were made ....thru no fault on adt ....it was me having phone issues...finally my phone issues were fixed and I got a virtual appointments on September 29th between 4 :30 and-5 pm....the technician was AWESOME!..... couldn't resolve my issue so we booked an appointment for a technician to come out. Finally, I was able to put my cameras back online and cancelled my appointment with the technician. I called adt to see if i I could talk to the technician but was unable.....it is my hope that he will read this review....thank you again!

I have nothing but pain from ADT. False alarms. Terrible customer service. I had technician come to my home charged $59.00. Dollars spent 5 minutes and did nothing I forgot to tell him we had 3 smoke detectors rather than 2 . I tried to call customer service huge mistake. First customer service representative did nothing but pass me along to another representative to verify my information.He spoke with such thick accent I could not understand him . He then passed me to another representative who did the same thing then sent me along to sales . I am sitting on the fourth transfer listening to a relentless sale pitch. They must have a computer system from the 70's .For this great service I pay twice the going rate for monitoring. Please don't use ADT . I hope to convince my wife to dump them ASAP.

giving them a one is a stretch, use another alarm company. I had a system installed 2 years ago and still having problems. the installation was terrible they installed wires in the middle of our walls which is unsightly, door cameras that they have replaced 2 times because they haven't worked. now they want us to pay for equipment that hasn't worked that we have been paying for every month for 2 years! ive been waiting for a supervisor (again) to call me back for over a week even though they say someone will call within 36 hours and I was told I was a priority. these are just a few of my issues but sure enough they take my money every month and a lot of it for a system and equipment that hasn't worked and still isn't. BEWARE!

No customer service at all! I called the billing department to change my method of payment for automatic withdrawal and they couldn't do it and they deleted my account and tried to reset it up and couldn't and that was an hour and 45 minutes on June 29 and then I asked for service to come out and they couldn't find the service department. I couldn't talk to anybody because the equipment that's been here a year isn't working properly and they could care less so I stopped payment. They promised calls back and they don't deliver and they don't call back I still have both unresolved issues a month later because they don't return calls and they just not trained people is my guess. Stay away from this company like the plague.

[email protected] with a detailed summary of my complaints and issues. I was informed that my complain would be forwarded to the person looking at my account, who is the same person who sent this email. It appears that AlwaysThere email is entirely outsourced to a company called sprinklr, and form of useless service that ADT offers to pretend to have any actual customer service. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH ADT Listen to their reviews on Google, you don't want to be with this company. When you have problems, you'll find yourself running into long hold times, constant transfers, endless runaround and technicians never actually fix anything. When I tried to cancel service after three false alarms and a technician who didn't fix anything I was informed that I would owe over $900 in cancellation fees, despite being within the first six months of my contract. After a month of asking and a second $59 service fee for a different technician who scratched his head, reset a sensor and didn't fix anything, they finally cancelled my service, but declined to refund me because they didn't fix anything. Dishonest company, stay away.

The technician arrived on time and was very efficient, knowledgable and helpful. The office went out of their way to speed up an appointment for our service call. Overall excellent!

ADT has been incredibly frustrating. The sales pitch was long and pushy, the prices were not at all what they advertised prior to coming out. One of our cameras hasn’t worked for months and it took 6 visits (which I have had to argue the price of since they charge you to fix their product). They sent multiple people, told me to up my internet speed, change the position of the camera, order a booster- and finally on the SIXTH visit someone looked at the camera and realized it was corroded inside- 6 visits and a lot of frustration on my part. To their credit, they did replace the camera for free and told me that it shouldn’t have done that. But, I can’t believe it took 6 visits before someone looked at the actual product. The service is spotty and will go offline for a random time, the door sensors will fall off and despite being told they were mailing me replacements- I never got them. I so wish I had never agreed to this, I can’t wait for my contract to be up so I can go with a more reputable product. I don’t think I have ever posted a negative review before, but I do want to share so others don’t get locked into a contract as I have.

ADT in my opinion is a joke of a security company. You are better off going anywhere else for your security needs. They are a shameless, unresponsive and inept company that takes your money, pretends to provide security, but when anything goes wrong good luck getting anyone on the phone to help you. I had this excuse of a security vendor for my business and when the equipment began to fail, they scheduled two separate service calls and then failed to show. One service call was scheduled for a Sunday where I sat in my office for 4 hours waiting for these clowns to show up and they never came. After talking to some guy from Tennessee (my business is in MA), they told me my call wasn't urgent enough and some supervisor cancelled it and forgot to tell me. They then told me they would have some here on Tuesday morning at 8:00 AM. I came in early to work and waited Tuesday morning and guess what? No one showed. I had to call again and they told me another supervisor took the appointment off and didn't call me a second time. The alarm system continued to periodically go off every 3 minutes for the past 3 days ! I have employees who couldn't work because of the malfunctioning equipment. I finally had to get up on a ladder myself and disconnect this piece of garbage security equipment so I could work for the day! Don't make the mistake I did by trusting this company.

ADT has proven to be the worst , Seems like when you need to check your doorbell camera the most it starts buffering , then having to call for them to say I have to go downstairs and reset the bell over and over, all this happened when I sign a two year contract how convenient for them to dump their garbage on me. God forbid I need this camera to work in an emergency situation. I would be DONE!!!
