This place is a MASSIVE RIP OFF!!! For far less you can rent a furnished house on the lake, a ski boat, and eat lobster every night. You are FAR FAR FAR better off spending your money on a week of things that your family actually wants to do than a week here!!!

Beautiful location. The dining situation spoils an otherwise great place.Rooms: RusticSafety: Extremely safeWalkability: Walking required. Cars not an option for daily activities.Food & drinks: On property the food can best be described as Golden corral meets Boston market but prepared by untrained college students. However there are plenty of restaurants and lunch spots a few miles down the road (squam lake inn, squam lake marketplace, and the common man being the top three. Somewhat further out in Plymouth are Yammas and Thai Smile which are also great.

Over priced for what you get. No to spotty internet so plan accordingly. Obvious that the owners are NOT investing in the place.

In my opinion this is one of the best family-oriented, rustic resort in New England. I have been visiting this historic resort for over 25 years, and hopefully many more. If your family needs a break from computers, cell phones, and re-connect with nature, this is the place to go.

The natural beauty of squam lake, multigenerational friendships renewed each summer, the height of pampered rustic cabin living.

My husband's family have been going here since they were kids. This was our 6 month old Sierra first trip to RDC! We love "glamping!" Our 1 complaint was the food this year. We've been in the past and the food has been excellent! This year the food was so so.. they moved their food service in house and still have some growing pains to work out! Also in years past the gluten free selection was better.. had fantastic GF desserts.. this year the only GF dessert other than Ice cream were macaroons that were FANTASTIC but were only served one day!! I'd love to see the food service improved bc this is such a fantastic place to take your family!

Wonderful place to stay for a week. Cabins are quaint. Easy lake access. Food is inconsistent. Usually is quite good, but not great. maybe fewer meat entree selections?

We have been coming here for many years over multiple generations. Every time we come here it is a treat. One week is not enough. I sleep so deeply and soundly. My stress levels come down. I have so many happy memories here.

The entire team at Rockywold Deephaven Camps is a pleasure to work with. They are committed to providing one of the most unique destinations in the country. This is a one-of-a-kind experience created and maintained by a dedicated staff of hospitality professionals. It's also a pleasure to meet young people from around the world that work at RDC...it's truly a special place.

We had been going to RDC for years. This year was our last year going. They are very poorly run, and not sanitary at all. They desperately need new leadership. I would recommend avoiding.
