We were gifted one night away & a dinner for two... I can't express enough how wonderful it was!We go to places around NH and appreciate all locations, but Colby Hill Inn was only 35 mins from home and start to finish.. lovely, delicious and accommodating!!The check in included a tour of our room and the grounds, as well as where we'd be dining.Dinner was prompt, great ambiance & delicious.We adore the customer service, room and everything it entails.So glad we can take a short trip and come back again!!Rooms: Nice and cozy, romantic and quaint.Nearby activities: Close to local shops, walks and views.Food & drinks: High end food and drinks. So enjoyable

I heard about this place from a friend and they raved about it. The wife and I were dying to try it. We went on a Saturday and booked a reservation for 730. The place was packed. The atmosphere was very quaint and vintage new England. The staff was very friendly but over loaded. There was one bartender and two servers for almost twenty tables. We sat down and our server was wonderful and knowledgeable. We order drinks and an appetizer. The drinks were wicked delicious and on point. We ordered the briskets for a app. Hands down best briskets I have ever had. The food... I can explain how amazing it was. Compliments to the chef. This is one of the best best places to take your partner. Secluded and romantic. The only downside is they needed more servers.Food & drinks: Outstanding food and drinks. This place is a must

Wonderful atmosphere with friendly staff, excellent food, loved the accommodations and loved interacting with the friendly (not to mention beautiful) goats. Really enjoyed the opportunity to relax, eat well, and purchase gifts all on site.before leaving Henniker. Thank you all for a fantastic getaway.

My husband and I has a romantic private dining experience and loved every aspect of it! We had a private table in their beautifully decorated bar, with cocktails, a bottle of wine and delicious 4-course meal. Innkeeper Jeff went out of his way to make every detail perfect -- highly recommend this for a special event. We will return in the future for a regular meal at the Inn because the food was amazing.

Easy to find in the wonderful College town of Henniker NH. You can walk to Azalea Park, down to Main street, and just enjoy Autumn. . My room was in the CarriageHouse and was perfect and "Cozy" be sure to CALL and inquire to find the best room for YOU- all are UNIQUE-- my room would not have been good for a larger individual-- but perfect for myself-- slept well, historic property so I expected the shower to take a bit longer-- products were quality but running low- towels could have been a bit larger but overall I super enjoyed my stay. . Dinner at the Grazing Room is a must-- local and changing dishes- food was on! Something for everyone- Local Mushrooms on toast, protein but enough small dishes on the Veggie side to please a plant eater! . Apple dessert was a bit heavyon the pastry but the Cinnamon Ice Cream was the star! . For someone looking for a unique place to stay and dine this a destination- if you want cookie cutter corporate lodgings are NOT that--but I am not that traveler-- make sure to come for dinner and get a reservation-dining was hopping fromopen to close! . Hope to return

Colby hill inn is truly a hidden gem. The venue executed a wonderful wedding weekend from a welcome lunch on Friday through brunch on Sunday. Jeff and Lisa were fantastic and very responsive throughout the planning process. Our guests raved about the food, service and attention to detail. The food is incredible and plentiful! The venue offers 14 rooms on site for guests with old New England charm. An excellent venue for anyone looking for an easy wedding planning experience.

I came in from Reno, NV to visit relatives, and after several recommendations, stayed (and dined!) at this exquisite bed and breakfast. What appealed to me was the genuine local charm and fantastic farm-to-table meals served in their public dining room.

This is a special place and well worth any perceived higher menu prices. Gorgeous setting, fantastic food, wonderful host and chef. Their monthly wine dinners and backyard barn evenings are fabulous. Highly recommend, this is a treasure.
