Steve creates beautiful handcrafted furniture. He and his wife, Cheryl, helped us design a perfect cherry dining set. We are very pleased with the beauty and craftsmanship. It looks wonderful in our contemporary home. It was an honor and a pleasure to work with Steve and Cheryl.

This week, we added yet another gorgeous Shaker Style piece of furniture to our home in northern Michigan. When we were in the process of building and furnishing our home two years ago, we envisioned clean, simple Shaker lines. This past Friday I took delivery on a cherry farm table from Shaker Style. The table is absolutely gorgeous - fabulous!! The craftsmanship is incredible. This is a piece of furniture that will stay in my family for generations. I totally enjoyed working with Cheryl at their store. From my first visit until delivery of the table, customer service was outstanding. They kept dates and provided updates. I hope to purchase more from Shaker Style it was pleasure.

I visited the showroom and bought a farm table and four chairs (the chairs are beautiful, too, though not made by Steve). The table is gorgeous. One of the loveliest pieces of woodwork I've seen. It's just a pleasure to look at the table, and a joy to use. Steve is a gifted craftsman and artist. Steve and Cheryl run a great business.

I have several pieces from Shaker Style and they are beautiful and timeless. The customer service is excellent, as well. When I needed replacement knobs and emailed a request 10 years after purchase, they were on my doorstep within days.

I bought an armoire from Shaker Style Furnishings. Stephen crafted it knowing that I live in a small space that is not my permanent home. Is a versatile piece. The top half can be converted from shelves to hanging space as needed. The top half easily lifts off the bottom when it's time to move, but no one can tell that it's made to come apart. I love it! Stephen Barlow's furniture pieces feel like home - not pretentious 'meant to be used, a joy to the eye, and sturdy enough handed down to your children. He and his wife Cheryl fill the showroom with his furniture and local art. You will find original oil and watercolor paintings, pottery, glass, baskets and linens in the converted barn that serves as a showroom and workspace. Shaker style is both a furniture showroom and a destination. Go to see the furniture, the art, the historic Chesham Depot across the street; and if you sre very lucky, you will experience a short delay as Wellcroft Farm's sheepdogs expertly move the flock to or from the surrounding fields!
