We had Paul design our dream home which was finished last year. His patience and expertise were simply outstanding. He was able to get to know us well and help to make suggestions into a design that not only was beautiful, but also represented the uniqueness of us as a couple. From the open floor plan to the beautiful entrance, the outcomes are fantastic. Many people, even those we did not know, have come by our home to tell us how gorgeous it is. Thank you to Paul for the great work. I highly recommend him.

I was looking at purchasing a house, but it was going to need some extensive renovations, including finishing out a basement. Paul was able to look at it with an expert's eye and help determine whether this was a cost-effective project. The value- added in working with Paul is his vision, and being able to see possibilities that I may not have even thought of. I was also impressed with his LEED's work in balancing projects to be as cost effective and environmentally sound as possible at the same time .

Paul is an absolute treasure!! When we started the process my husband and I had a vague idea of what we wanted our future home to be. Paul took time to get to know our likes and dislikes. He has us describe our daily activities in the house and found out what would be of value. He took the time to listen. We found out he has 6 sisters, I think he said. My husband and I teased him that was the best training for this profession. He has the touch of tact and is a really good listener, he doesn't get offended if you want to change things. He was so accomodating. He would create a plan and then we would meet to discuss what we liked and didn't like. I do not like to make anyone feel bad or offend, but he was so great to work with and NEVER made me feel like I was changing my mind too much!!We ended up with an amazing home, truly fitted to exactly who we are!! We get comments all the time about how gorgeous our home is. I know so many people who have nightmare experiences while planning and building a house. That was not ours at all. It was such a fun experience. Paul made creating a joy!!!We have a delightful masterpiece now!

We chose Paul Clark as our architect for our home in Davidson, NC. The project was to remodel an existing small home of 1300 sq.ft. and construct a new addition of about 1000 sq.ft., including a great room, kitchen, master bedroom and bathroom. We were very pleased--I would say thrilled--with the outcome and found Paul easy to work with. He was a very creative architect, yet attuned to our wants and needs. He was supportive of our desire to use lots of wood and natural stone in building the house, resulting in a very beautiful and light filled home, with a stunning front porch. Many times during the construction process, and since its completion, total strangers have stopped to compliment us on our beautiful home as they passed by. Paul was flexible when we had to interrupt the design process, then ready to come back almost a year later to resume it. We always looked forward to our design sessions--Paul had a way of bringing his own ideas to the table, while staying open to our input. If you are looking for a creative architect with his own vision, and one who will listen to yours as well, Paul is the one. And I should add that he did not exceed our agreed budget, and we were naturally pleased with that. We recommend him highly.

Over the years Paul Clark has designed several houses and one garage apartment for my family. From designing our shoot the lights out dream home to helping us build a small house for rental and later a small in-law garage apartment, Paul showed such great versatility and ability to stay within budget while thinking through every last beautiful detail. His willingness to listen and really pay attention to how WE lived and what we wanted in terms of our space and lay out was quite remarkable. We found Paul to be patient with our endless ponderings and incredibly creative in giving us something we loved but would never have thought of on our own. His commitment to building beautiful, functional, unique and friendly home environments has inspired me over the years. He truly wanted our family life to be supported and made happier by the architectural design rather than us living around some “vision” or architectural “theory”. How refreshing!

It's a horrible experience to hiring him as a architect. He quotes us a price but end up charge 3 times more. The product is lower than expectation. He doesn't "DESIGN" anything. The whole time I am struggling with his lack of design ability. If I knew how to use CAD design software, I can do it myself. I keep telling him please help me with some idea but he didn't. The money I paid is for custom home design architect but I didn't get that. So, I will suggest if you want to hire him, you better off draw your idea down and hire a college kid to do it. This will save you lots of money.
