Bless Maynard House and the people there! I stayed while my husband was having cardiac surgery & was treated more like family than a guest. I could not have asked for better treatment, especially given the circumstances. Maria was an absolute godsend to me, answering questions and helping me get through a very tough time.My eternal thanks to all of the people at Maynard House!

The best place to stay! Whether it's for the night before going to the hospital for a procedure or for the partner/support person while the patient is in recovery stay after procedure.

Had the pleasure of working with the Maynard House. Very pleasant staff who cares very much about their guests and helping Dartmouth patients and their families in difficult times.

I appreciate that Maynard House is available for Dartmouth-Hitchcock patients and families. The price i now $40 per guest, so $80 for two of us. That is approaching what you can get hotels for through the Safe Stay program at D-H. We chose to stay at Maynard House, so you know, we take the chaff with the grain. We drove up in a blinding snowstorm after driving 2+ hours. Then I remembered that they will only take cash. So back on the road to find an ATM. We found lots of banks, but no ATMs until *violins playing* I saw an Irving. I got the necessary cash and returned. Meantime, the person at MH called and asked if we had pulled into the driveway. We got back to MH, then I realized that checking in would take a while. We learned how to open a door. We learned we had to park away from all of the other cars in the lot because the plow guy would be there early. He wasn't there before 8:30 am. We learned that we could not eat in the rooms or the kitchen, but wait, yes we could since COVID shut the public areas. We also learned not to ask questions, not to crack jokes and not to think for ourselves. I do appreciate that the facility was available for us, but it would have been nice to have gotten a little update on where extra blankets and pillows were. We wound up opening the windows as the heat was blasting. I used my ancient college secret of putting sodas on the sill to cool them down. Luckily we don't get caught.

This place was very clean. My only complaint is that my in-laws' room looked like a pantry and they need new beds, as my father-in-law's bed was nearly falling apart. If I win Powerball, I'll donate new beds to them! Other than that, is was good.

This place is AMAZING! Super clean, very friendly staff. They have a full kitchen so you can prepare meals and its also close 2 quite a few places to eat as well. I stayed there 4 about 2 months when my son was in the hospital and I would definitely stay there again. Its so nice to know there is a clean, economical place to stay when your family member is ill. Def 5 stars!!!

Spotlessly clean. Quiet, comfortable and welcoming. Convenient to downtown Hanover and the hospital. Some food staples available for free to guests. And so inexpensive! As others have indicated. a true miracle!

Walking in the door was like entering a home. The atmosphere was comforting, quiet, caring. The downstairs bath is good sized with a wheelchair accessible sink and shower. Breakfast foods and coffee are provided as well as storage space for guest foods, etc. There is a beautiful porch/dining area with a television and a den like room with a television. What really makes this place a wonderful place to stay is the people. They care for just the patients that stay but for their caregivers as well. Mom was made so comfortable she slept all night in a cloud of pillows. I went to the den to watch tv and was offered a comfy blanket which I gratefully accepted. If anyone reading this ever needs a place to stay during treatment...be assured that you will receive the best service here.

Maynard House provides a place of normality during an abnormal time - just a blessing. Thank you.
