Such a nice experience with Designer Gold this afternoon. They changed a very tricky watch battery on the spot ($17). They even took the extra step and verified the old battery was the problem.I'll surely be back!

What an amazing experience. Everyone in the store was incredibly knowledgeable and more importantly, super kind. The customer experience began with my initial phone call and continued when I went into the store to purchase an item. What impressed me most is the fact that I purchased a rather inexpensive item, but was treated with the upmost respect and gratitude from the store. Such wonderful people and just a beautiful shopping experience.

My experience with Paul started when my wife had a ring custom made. She introduced me to Designer Gold and Paul made our wedding rings. Invariably, we are asked where we found such unique rings (half yellow & half white gold). Later I had Paul make me a ruby ring to match my wedding ring. If you desire quality and honest pricing, look no further.

I first met Paul Gross decades ago, when he was my jewelry teacher at Dartmouth College. I never forgot his generosity as a teacher and his skill as a jeweler. So, when the time came to commission an engagement ring, Paul was my first choice. I had already decided that the central stone would be a blue sapphire, and Paul drew upon his extensive international connections to locate a truly stellar stone at a reasonable price. During our design dialogue, Paul refined my preliminary drawing for the ring, which had a theme of "inextricably intertwined," and transformed the working concept into a workable design. Everyone who has viewed the finished ring has commented on its innovative design, harmonious proportions, and exquisite sculpting. If you want a true artist to create an engagement ring that will be treasured forever, Paul is the right person for the job.

We had Paul Gross design and make our wedding bands way back in 1981. While in Hanover recently, we stopped by, and during our conversation, Paul convinced me that my wedding band should be resized (I hadn't been able to remove it for more than a decade). He cut it off, and assured us there would be no charge, that resizing was part of their service. He also cleaned and polished my wife's wedding band and other jewelry. I waited about six weeks for my finger to adapt, had my finger measured, and called them with the new size. A few days later, someone from the store (not Paul, someone else) called back and said it would cost $300 to do the work, even though I had a receipt that clearly said "N/C" (no charge). Their litany of excuses was, frankly, irrelevant. They failed to honor the commitment they had made to my face. Given that they already had my now unwearable ring, there was little we could do. When my wife went to pick up the ring, Paul wouldn't come out to talk to her, even though he was in the store at the time. I'm sorry to have to write such a negative review, but I felt we were treated VERY unfairly by this store (which has gotten a good deal of business from my wife's family over the years), and cannot in good conscience recommend them to anyone.

Designer Gold is a bastion of craftsmanship and artistry. Thank you, Paul Gross, Peggy Sadler, and your crew of goldsmiths for doing copious, conundrum-onious jewelry repairs, stocking dazzling adornments, and...making my engagement ring to last an eternity! I know that if I need it resized or cleaned I can just stop by and also get a chance to shoot the breeze with fellow appreciators of good art, good theater, and the great outdoors. Highly recommend.
