I have had opportunity to call CVS stores in other areas to reach the pharmacy, with virtually no waiting. For this pharmacy, it is truly unclear what the wait is. I give up after an hour. The failure to pick up is so singular to this location that I called the front store and got a manager. I asked him if there was a problem with the pharmacy phone. HIs answer was, "No, it could take an hour. They are very busy."This may be true, but when I am there, they seem no busier than other CVS stores that look much busier. In fact, they do not look nearly as busy as other stores I have gone to with far less waiting when I have to call. Let's just say this in an area where they need improvement.

I have called the pharmacy twice, and they did not pick up either time. It's such an enormous waste of time.

This space used to be a Grand Union supermarket when I was student long ago. It briefly became a P&C supermarket until it became CVS in its current incarnation. The interior feels like a typical CVS - smaller than I remember it being when I was a student - although it's been super busy whenever I've stopped by. Plenty of folks picking up prescriptions and plenty of students picking up snacks and supplies from the main floor of the store. Talking about which, the layout is standard CVS fare - lots of aisles of cosmetics, snacks, and toiletries in the middle, refrigerated cases along the perimeter, and a large bank of self-checkout registers near the front. Typical large-chain stuff.Note: most of the images on this Yelp listing are contrived stock photos that do not actually reflect this particular outlet - a violation of Yelp rules.

The location couldn't be more convenient right in downtown Hanover. Staff are very friendly and the store is well stocked. Pharmacy is also nice!

The staff at this particular CVS is as Tracy and Update- 3/27/19 If I could give the pharmacy personnel an accurate rating, it would be -147 stars. As it is not possible, one is as low as I can go. Amanda, the latest offensive employee, is today's star. Instead of answering a specific question, she kept telling me to go to the Drop Off window. It was a simple question but she was either unwilling or unable to answer. As I tried one more time, she cut me off and told me to have a nice day. Her disingenuous smile was enough to make me decide to move me my business from this CVS. There is a great disparity among the pharmacy staff. Some are professional, like Michelle but too many are like Amanda.

This is a very busy pharmacy. Lots of different people come in with complex issues and incomplete information, missing insurance cards, etc. For the most part, the pharmacists and pharmacy techs do a great job. Every once in a while, something is less than perfect. But overall, this place has filled numerous prescriptions over the years perfectly and almost always with professionalism, courtesy and speed.

All of the people working in this pharmacy, and this CVS branch for that matter, have great attitudes and are highly competent. They go out of their way to be helpful and never seem put off or sour to me. This is the pharmacy of choice for me and for my wife.

They stayed open a little later tonight to give me time to get there and pick up my prescription. That is outstanding service and I'll be a loyal customer for life.

Generally, it's not a bad place. It's clean and well taken care of. However, their hours aren't great and I've had some negative experiences with unhelpful staff as well the store not carrying basic medical supplies (though they have a sizeable selection of beer and junk food).
