“What would I have done without Maynard House this week? That’s what I ask myself.I could not have had treatment, since I am too tired to drive back and forth daily (about 2.5 hr driving). This home is well appointed, comfortable and inviting. The people here have been warm and welcoming. That gentleness means so much when not feeling well, especially when it’s a long-term illness.Anne, especially, was reassuring and even informed me of interesting activities close by, should I have the energy. All in all so far ( my stay is not over), this has been a place that brought sunshine to my soul. I am grateful beyond words.”

“Even better than we expected! It was so amazing seeing all the raptors and reading their stories. Then you can climb up high to see an awesome view. We got to see a demonstration by Sara and it was very interesting. We got to see a snake and hawk up close. Next we saw the raptors being fed. There’s a song bird area which is really cute! At the end there’s a playground. They do great things here helping these birds. Super cool place! We spent 2 hours here and enjoyed it a lot. Judith was really nice at the ticket booth and shop too! :)”

“I stepped into AVA for the first time this week and it felt like home. The incredible art presented in the spacious galleries was exactly the kind of art I love: aesthetically pleasing, contemporary, challenging, exciting. Brilliant curation. Exciting arts programming for kids and adults. AVA is perfection and worth traveling to for enthusiastic art lovers.”

“Love this place! Have found phenomenal deals and there's always a huge selection. Of course, you never know what you'll find since it's a thrift store, sometimes you find a bunch and sometimes less, but still a great resource if you don't want to spend a bundle.”

“The staff at the U.V. humane society are generally pleasant and polite and they do have a nice selection of dogs and cats. However, at times I find them to be controlling and even oddly finicky and suspicious. For instance, the front entrance here is now always locked, even in the middle of the day (what is there to steal anyway?). Additionally, I once found a manager overbearing and even tried to instruct me on what animal to adopt, like this is a socialized adoption agency or something. Nevertheless, on the whole, I have had good relations with them for upwards of a quarter century, and do recommend them.”

“Life at Crafts Hill apartments. As a tenant this community is a treasure to behold. A great staff and incredible maintenance crew work hard to promote a vibrant community for all.Our apartments are roomy and so comfortable!!!I awake to a morning coffee with a panoramic view of nature just outside of our sliding glass door and our deck. The abundant wildlife that visit us is wonderful.Just today we had eleven deer grazing on the hill providing us with hours of entertainment as I love taking photos to share with my friends and family. A wide assortment of squirrels, birds and bunnies add to our pleasure. We have on site laundry facilities that allow us to do laundry without stepping outside of our building. We have ample parking, trash removal, and a community building for meetings and events like after school events for children.A beautifulclean safe play area sets next to our community building, a place with swings, basketball hoops attract parents and children to partake in quality family time .I must say we are happy to call Crafts Hill home and thank Twin Pines for always trying to meet our needs and hear our suggestions for any improvements.I will try to send Twin Pines some of the beautiful pictures of deer that I have taken right from our home.”

“Solid store with a healthy selection. Friendly staff and a good sized parking lot. Clothes and household items are a little on the expensive side compared to other thrifting options in the area.”
