We purchased a Real Fyre gas fireplace and log set from Alternative Energy after spending time in their showroom viewing videos of various options. Their staff was knowledgeable and professional. We were very pleased with our purchase.
Alternative also sent two technicians to our home for the installation, one of whom had guided us through the original purchase. Here too they were thoughtful and thoroughly professional.
This was good old fashioned sales and service that was very much appreciated.

Outstanding experience from purchase to installation. Kevin, Jared and Mike were professional, courteous and knowledgeable. My Regency wood burning insert took only a few hours to install and it works beautifully. Great to have my fireplace back!

Kevin and his crew is wonderful. They show up on time, do the work, are clean, friendly and explain what they do. I bought a Hearthstone Bari from them two years ago and they serviced it since then. Great piece of equipment.

We spent weeks waiting for call backs from other companies to fix our little gas fireplace. Not only did these folks answer the phone, they scheduled us for service within a week, came when they said they would, and got our fireplace up and running in no time. Mike the technician was awesome. He explained every detail of what he was doing and had all the parts he needed with him. Within a few hours, the fireplace looked like new and was working wonderfully. We couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend!

We had the natural gas log installed on the ground floor on a cement slab of our condo. The thermostat is on the middle floor so it can get cool. Now I can ramp it up to the 70s in a short amount of time. We had the initial burn off, setting the smoke alarms off and a noise created by the fan. The owner addressed our needs and had a technician come right over. He corrected the issues and all is well. I’ve forgotten the total price, don’t want to remember it, as we had a carpenter bump out the wall, a separate electrician did the wiring and a gas man connect it, but now well worth it with the ambiance and the warmth.

We had Alternative Energy service our two gas fireplaces. We just bought this house and had no idea of the service history. Dylan and Mike showed up and did a great job. One fan was completely miswired and Mike fixed it. They were both professional, competent, and efficient. I would recommend them.

Dylan is so kind and hard working young man. He did a wonderful job cleaning my gas fireplace and explaining things to me. My fireplace looks awesome! I will definitely call them again when I need work done.

This fireplace repair service is excellent. They solved a terrible problem for me caused by another company that took all of the parts out of my gas fireplace (ostensibly to repair them) and never came back. I was left with a shell of a gas fireplace with multiple missing parts, cut wires, ruined factory installation and a seemingly unsolvable mess. This was no easy repair job - parts were hard to get, but the Alternative Energy guys (Kevin, Mike, Dylan) went above and beyond to get it all together for me, even borrowing parts from a fully-functioning unit they had on hand. Lots of problem solving on this one but they were up to the task. This company is under new ownership and is clearly working hard to build the business. The communication was great, they always called back and they did what they said they would do when they said they would do it. They got the fireplace working and I didn't have to rip out the tile and wall to put in a new one. I am very happy with the company and will use them for all my future service needs. Just wish I went to them first.

I find this place to be very unprofessional I called to ask some advice and get a quote and he wants me to give him a bunch of photos how can anybody give a proper estimate without having anything pop-up rather jobs happening without coming to see the actual job let alone tried to charge Over $200 an hour to do a site review. Bad business first rule of any business when it comes to installation is to make sure you see what you’re actually installing or what you’re working with not to just go on photos via email Is that usually leads to expected new charges through the process. Figured I’d give everyone the heads up as I found it to be really tacky and unprofessional

We had been looking for an alternative source, to help offset the price of heating. We have a fireplace, it's not efficient. We liked the looks of the Pacific Energy wood burning insert, but didn't know much about them. We found a dealer in Hampton Falls N.H., Alternative Energy, we walked in to the store, and met Kevin, he was very helpful in answering all our questions about the insert and showed us which one would meet our needs.We ordered the Vista LE, 2 weeks later the insert and installers arrived, Mike & Dylan, they were very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, even showed how to start a fire! The insert looks absolutely beautiful in our old fireplace! We are thankful for Kevin for his help, patience, in showing us all the options and prices that would fit our budget.
