Fun to see the old ski designs, read about bringing Alpine skiing to the USA, seeing history of Jean Claude Killy (?) Michaela Schaefer, Bodi Miller? Info on the various ski resorts, Cannon, Mittersille, etc from early opening in the late 1800s to today. And watch the action documentary short "Fall Line" one of the trailblazers for that genre... I'm not a skier, so I'm sure if you are you'll enjoy it more, was small gem next door to the tram, and near the trails to the Old Man of the Mountain historical sites etc. FREE but worth the $5 DONATION to keep it staffed and upkeep. Staff was very helpful about the area too, better than the official state staff in most places

Small but lots of interesting ski history to browse. I love this kind of quick museum visit especially with my impatient kids.

Very rude encounter with employee when asking a simple question about locating the Man of the Mountain monument when the regular road to it was blocked by snow. A shame as it’s such a nice little spot.

Compact display of the history of ski in Europe and in the White Mountains. Nicely organized and worth stopping by while at Cannon Mountain.

A must-see when you're in the White Mountains. Even if you're not a skier this is a wonderful and fun museum to visit and the kids will enjoy it, too! And if you are a skier, it's a goldmine of information and great ski-related gifts, book, CD, posters, etc.
