Had them come to clean my furnace , found out furnace was cracked , had to replace , got proposal , gonna replace with this type furnace , replace all vent with new , pull permit , we’ll replace with different named furnace , not sure if permit was pulled , paid half down was gonna make payments for rest we agreed on , charged my card for the balance , not happy being lied to , but it’s paid for , charged me 500 a hr , 3 hrs labor , b4 they did I told em price was high but thought I would b protected by Haffners , was I so wrong , will not use anymore

We will NO longer be using this company. They were okay before, but especially since the new ownership (Haffner), we couldn’t be more turned off by them. Even one of their own employees confessed that they were not thrilled with the change in ownership and what that has entailed. We’ve had them out to our property a handful of times, and in one circumstance we experienced inappropriate and disrespectful commentary to other individuals working on our home (questioning their work, credentials, and then talking about them amongst one another). It was extremely uncomfortable for everyone.Additionally - their communication and transparency in their fees strongly lacks. Same day service $75. Fine. However, if your tank is empty and you require a relighting and leak test, you also have to call to make a separate appointment for that. Here’s the kicker - they don’t let you make that appointment at the same time. You have to wait until AFTER they come to fill the tank, to then call and make the relight/leak test appointment. Which, if you want done the same day is ANOTHER $75 same-day fee ON TOP of the already $159 charge to come run a simply leak test and relight it. They don’t tell you that either. They are unprofessional, unorganized, and unpleasant to communicate with and after many experiences, we strongly advise to take your services elsewhere.

Visited today to get a refill and the staff was super friendly and helpfull. I really liked the speedy service. Was in and out in just under 5 mins.

After being with them for 15 years, I looked around and found that I could get better prices elsewhere and their service wasn't as friendly/helpful as it had been in the past. They recently tried to increase the rental fee I was paying for the propane tank they provided, and I found another company that would provide one for free as long as I contract with them.The three-star review is mostly because I called Hartmann last week to let them know I'd be changing providers next Tuesday. Instead of waiting, they picked up my propane tank yesterday and now I don't have a cooking stove until the new one comes. Oh well, looks like we'll be eating out of the microwave for the next couple of days.

Although I do no use Hartmann Oil, their trucks are constantly speeding through my neighborhood with complete disregard for posted speed limits. I would never use this company.

ABSOLUTELY NO CONCERN about our emergency situation.We have been a customer for six years. After our generator was installed, we purchased our propane tank and fuel from Hartman.At the beginning of December, I called to order a delivery of propane to ensure that I would begin the winter with a full tank. I was asked how much fuel I currently had. At the time, I had 40%. I was told that I needed to call them back when I was at 20%, as well as I would be charged a significant fee, if I was at more than 20%. On December 23 we had the wind storm that took out our power. When our generator kicked in, we were at 29%. After 29 hours of generator power, we were now down to 11%. It was the morning of Christmas Eve, I called Hartman to request an emergency delivery. I was told that there was going to be a fee of $155. I had no problem with the fee as I realized it was Christmas Eve as well as an emergency delivery. When I told the woman I spoke with the town I was in, I was told that there were no drivers anywhere near me, also, that it was Christmas Eve, and they did not want their drivers out late and then proceeded to tell me that I should try to find another company to service my needs.This was great advice! I did find another company to service my needs. I called another company at 5 PM on Christmas Eve as the temperature was now 15°. I have a disability which has me in a wheelchair, so I was truly feeling the cold at this point. The company I called was here within one hour, filled my tank and had my generator back up and running. This company also had an emergency service fee which was even more than Hartmans emergency service fee. I was more than glad to pay this fee to a company that went above and beyond for someone who was not even a customer. They now have a new customer. I will be using them for all of my generator and fuel needs.Thank you, Hartman for absolutely NOTHING.

Please read my long Hartmann Oil review to understand how amazing this company is!In 2020 we moved from Florida and our home in Brentwood NH has an underground propane tank. I was unfamiliar with buying propane and that a company can own your tank and you are forced to buy only from them. We had Amerigas and it was Thanksgiving holiday. Amerigas customer service was awful and I was on the phone with Amerigas countless hours. Amerigas multiple times scheduled to come out to fill out tank, but they never showed. Amerigas would say we were on their emergency delivery list after all the missed deliveries and still never showed. We had 10% left in our tank. No other companies would help us because Amerigas owned the tank. Hartmann Oil asked us to buy the tank from Amerigas. Amerigas said we couldn't do that over the phone and that they had to come out to our property and inspect the tank! Amerigas wouldn't deliver us propane nor let us buy the tank so that another company could fill out tank. I circled back to Hartman oil and they are our angels. We have 5 small children including a one month old at the time.Our home was 52 degrees because noone would fill our tank. Hartmann Oil customer service and owner literally saved us from bursting pipes as the temperature was suppose to plummet to 17 degrees and saved our family from freezing on Thanksgiving. They said they would buy the tank from Amerigas. They also fixed quickly any dangerous deficiencies on the tank. They came out emergently out of the goodness of their hearts. I have the utmost respect for Hartmann Oil, the owner, and all his Wonderful employees. I am forever grateful for their kindness and I will never forget it. Please know Hartmann Oil is the most amazing oil company ever and you should definitely use them without hesitation for all your heating needs. Thank you Hartmann Oil!!

Hartmann is great! Customer service is always super friendly and helpful. Their turn around from call to delivery is always super fast. The delivery is also super quiet, we've had them come while we were home and didn't even notice they were here. I highly recommend becoming a customer of Hartmann Oil

i had the pleasure of meeting Andy yesterday and from the first five seconds I knew he was good people. The girls in the office are hard workers to keep it moving forward. Andy is an owner that cares about people and it shows. If you looking for oil, propane, and commercial gas in the seacoast area I would advise you to call Hartmann.
