Initially I loved this business , but now not so much . I placed two items on lay away ,one when I received it during sizing the gold stamp was taken off . The second item , I sent a payment asked for verification it was received via phone text and email with no response . I lost the ring and all the money I had on it as they ignored my request for verification it was received.

I've never been to the store- found a necklace I loved online and ordered it. I was a little hesitant because of the return policy. The necklace arrived quickly - it is beautiful. I am so happy with my purchase. Would certainly shop here again. Thanks

Best jewelry store I've been to. And I've been to them all over the world. Mario has an eye unsurpassed and his daughter Alia (sp?) is the consummate client service professional. Bravo.

We took 2 candelabra to be repaired.
They sent them out to some hack in Boston.
He soldered the caps on crooked, and put tool gouges on the stems.
They were sent back a second time, came back with solder exposed.
The owner of Exeter Jewelers argued with us and said "What do you want their old"
To the response:
It was your store numerous times having dropped them off twice, and picked them up twice!
We took the candleabra out today to polish them for holiday dinners. We talked about what an awful job your guy in Boston did, and what a jackass
you were about it.
It was 4 or 5 years ago at least.
I should have written the review back then.
You still screwed us over with a bad repair to go along with your bad attitude!

I dropped off an elastic bead bracelet that needed to be restrung and 2 different earrings that needed the clasp arm reattached, one was gold the other white gold. Exeter Jewelers said it would take 2 weeks and I asked if possible I'd like them sooner as I had travel plans; they said they'd make a note of it. Well they didn't accommodate the quicker turn around...okay. But when I went to pick my pieces up, they charged me $85! So restringing the bracelet beads on another piece of elastic was $35 and fixing the clasp on the gold earring was $50! The second earring they returned unfixed and said they don't work on sterling silver, I told them it was white gold and she didn't even respond to that information.Honestly borderline rude attitude. Interestingly I had almost the identical work done at a jeweler in Portsmouth for a 3rd of the cost and they fixed 4 pieces. AND they were too pleasant. I truly try and support local business, but I've scratched Exeter Jewlers off my list. I feel like I was overcharged significantly, just given lip service and shown no real concern for the fact that I questioned the price and the lack of knowledge about white gold. Patrons beware, you deserve better value and service than Exeter Jewelers!

I love my engagement ring from Exeter Jewelers more than anything!! It’s perfect! The employees are knowledgeable and pleasant. We will be purchasing our wedding bands from here, too!

I cannot recommend Exeter Jewelers enough! My fiance purchased my engagement ring from there and had a great experience designing my perfect ring. This Christmas I purchased 3 pairs of diamond stud earrings for gifts my mom and sisters. Alia was extremely helpful in designing the specs (3 prong vs 4 prong, 14K vs 18K) and was very responsive.

This wonderful jewelry store in the heart of Exeter demonstrates why online retailers will NEVER come close to the passion of local artisans. When you are buying jewelry, you want to see it for yourself, try it on, and seek the counsel of experienced staff. I needed a custom piece built because I am a lover of yellow gold in a platinum setting world. It took only a week, and when I stopped in to pick it up, my sales person was just as excited as I was about showing me the finished piece. Reasonable prices and a devotion to customer happiness - I am so glad I found Exeter Jewelers!

Two years ago they took my old engagement ring and put in the most amazing setting!! They do amazing work! I'm in love with my ring again! Currently having my Dads diamond ring converted to ladies ring, cannot wait to see it!

As an incredibly particular and picky person, I spent (no exaggeration) 2 years comparing and choosing a jeweler to re-set some family stones. After careful consideration and watching reviews and local recommendations for years, I finally settled on these wonderful folks. I didn't bring in the fanciest, most exciting project for them, but they still put in the most effort to ensure that the end result would be something that can stay in the family for generations to come - and it is. I am blown away by the quality of the final product and how well my diamonds were complemented by the ones they added to complete the design. It is simple, delicate, and stunning. I will be returning to them for my future projects and cannot recommend them highly enough.
