Went into Black Cat for the first time today, and couldn’t be happier! I can definitely be a tricky client for hair stylists as I never really know what I want for a haircut, or how to describe it. Angela was so helpful, and fun to talk to throughout the whole process—I can’t recommend her enough. She was attentive and personal while showing me different styles, and I seriously think it’s one of the best haircuts I’ve ever gotten. I will only be going to Black Cat for my haircuts from now on!

Stylist: Carries colored & cut my hair. Both were excellent! The best color & cut I've had for a few years. Highly recommend her & I will be going back. ❤️❤️

Incredibly unprofessional. If you are not willing or able to honor appointment times, then don’t offer online booking in the first place.
ETA: You're right, these things do happen. And you did ask if I'd be willing to have another stylist see me, to which I said yes. You also asked if I had a referral (apparently that makes a difference to you) — and then, you turned your back on me, talked about me amongst yourselves, and then went about your business without ever speaking to me again.
You're right. 10 minutes isn't that long to wait. If you had told me that you only had 10 minutes left, asked if I was okay with waiting, or done anything at all to follow up with the situation rather than leave me sitting in silence, I would not have walked out. But since you didn't say a single word to me after our initial greeting, I had no idea how much longer those 10 minutes would have been.
100% starts with how you speak to your clients, whether they're existing ones or, god forbid, new without a referral.
Listen, Angela. We will clearly not see eye to eye on this matter. But at the end of the day, it would have taken you 10 seconds to tell me that you'd be done in 10 minutes. I'd have been happy to wait 20 minutes even, if you'd simply communicated with me — but you failed to extend that courtesy. And whether or not I "misread" the situation, I found your actions to be rude enough to not want to give you my business. Best of luck to you in the future.

Carrie at Black Cat fixed up the mess I made coloring my own hair and gave me an easy-to-style cut that's just professional enough for the office and edgy enough to keep my rebellious side happy . She is super talented. Go see her!!

My appointment with Devon went great! She gave me the first haircut that I’ve liked in years. I was about to leave for a trip to Florida, and I heard Black Cat Studio was good. I told her I’ve had to keep growing my hair out due to bad cuts and whatnot, so I walked in with a ton of hair. She was fantastic. Clean place and the staff was nice. You have a returning customer.

I was visiting my mom from out of town recently and she has been seeing Jackie for quite some time now and recommended I try her. I could not have been happier with my end result! Jackie was not only an expert in her skills as a stylist but she was personable, warm and funny! She made me feel like we were old friends and I had been there many times before. I have over 20 years experience as a stylist and I am also a former educator in the industry and Jackie by far exceeded all of my expectations! Her color technique was not only perfect but she preserved the integrity of my hair. I will make the 2 hour drive back to see her again! She is well worth it!!!The salon is clean and the decor is beautiful!!! I love to see women owned businesses that are not only thriving but offering great services and value for your dollar!
