Great place and sense of community. Treadmills could use some care. Some belts stick, tvs don’t work. More dumbbells in weight room please! Daylockers would be nice addition to offset small lockerroom. Policing of excessive weight slamming and yelling would be nice. Very clean gym and amazing variety of ways to get a great workout.

Great place, welcoming and non-judgmental. Only criticism is that some of the equipment has wear and tear.

My husband is a veteran and current law enforcement officer. We just moved to NH when he signed up with The Zoo. Within a week and a half he realized the gym just wasn't a good match for his workout style and asked for a cancellation. I understand that in order to have joined, he signed a membership with the gym. I'm not refuting that. But you don't always immediately know if a place is the right fit for you. And to change your mind within less than 10 days seems really reasonable to me. They didn't care. The staff, the manager and even the owner all fell back on the apparent NH law where he could only have cancelled within the first 3 days. THREE DAYS. They had no interest in making an exception, even though the timeframe was still really reasonable (IMO) to ask for the cancellation. So now he's paying for a monthly gym membership he isn't using at all. The decision was entirely up to the owner, and it was a big 'no'. If he'd been going there for weeks or over a month I'd totally feel like that was our bad and own that. But for them to make no considerations makes me feel like they're leaches. And I'm not saying veterans should get blanket special treatment, but I certainly wouldn't have expected a veteran and current LEO to be treated this way in NH. Maybe in Mass., but not in this state. In response to the company's reply:We appreciate the accommodations made regarding the discounted membership for first responders and the additional access provided across NH locations – but none of that made the gym be what he needed, and so he doesn’t use any of it.The primary issue is still the flexibility in the initial adjustment period. While I understand the policies in place and the usage of the facility within the first month, the crux of the issue lay in the rigid application of the cancellation policy. When a 6 day/wk workout plan rotates each of those days, it takes more than 3 days to fully understand if a gym is the right fit – and NOT being the right fit means he now has a membership for 2 gyms and only uses one because The Zoo just didn’t meet his workout needs. We recognize and respect that The Zoo Health Club is veteran-owned and operates with a set of policies. Our intention is not to undermine the business, but to highlight an area where a more flexible, customer-focused approach might enhance the overall service experience, especially for new members still assessing if the facilities meet their needs. The aim here is not to tarnish the reputation of a veteran-owned business, but to share a personal and frustrating, not to mention expensive, experience that could be helpful for other people to keep in mind when they try out a new gym.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean environment. Not overly crowded. Was able to get in my zone and get a good workout in with their selection of space and equipment.

I love that this gym is open 24/7. They have a good variety of gym equipment and a big multifunctional room that is away from the main gym area. So far this has been my favorite gym to workout at.

The zoo was recommended to me by a friend. I’ve gone to a few other gyms over the years but so far this has been my favorite. The classes are great and the instructor are fun while also challenging you and leading a great class! I would also highly recommend working with the personal trainers. I worked for the first time with Marc and it was an amazing experience. He was knowledgeable, honest, clear, and helped set my expectations for what to expect in the future. I’m excited that the zoo and the trainers at the location are there to help me towards my goals. Anyone looking to join a new gym, I would recommend The Zoo! I’m pumped no pun intended.

This place is terrible. First off, notice every negative review is replied with denial and defensiveness from the business “it doesn’t appear you’ve ever stepped foot in our facility,” which shows the level of professionalism we’re working with here. The gym is always a mess, I tripped over equipment laying around more than once. When are you fixing your ONLY hamstring machine? It’s been broken for months. I’m sure they’d give a story about issues getting it repaired but .. how about you buy a new one so that people paying you for a full working gym have access to at least one hamstring machine?? I could go in and on but this is place is lower than planet fitness because at least PF keeps their place clean and are professional.

Needs more barbell weights, clamps, and benches. It would amazing if they had dip bars that you could move around so, more people could do dips at one time. This is just a personal want but, it would be cool if they had parallettes for people who want to do more body weight exercises. Other than those small inconveniences this is a good gym. You can tell just by walking in that the other gym goers really care about their health. It is pricier than planet fitness but, then again planet fitness is a joke of a "gym".

Caroline was extremely helpful in educating me on exercises I was unfamiliar with and explained them so I could understand them! I appreciate the time she took with me today. I highly recommend this location specifically!
