Corrupt, power hungry, law breaking liars. Feel less safe in durham (an incredibly safe town) knowing these cops are out there ruining lives with no consequences for their actions. To get a single underage drinking arrest under their belt they resorted to illegally searching and seizing personal property and blatantly lying on the 1 page police report over a dozen times to cover their asses. No one can do anything to change it though, especially not me! So keep hiring the same 12 year old sociopaths, durham! you're doing great!

At about 10:45 this AM I was going home on Durham Pt Rd, I came over the hill before my house and see 7-8 vehicles, one was a 18 wheeler with a low bed trailer on both side of the road. I see a Durham officer Castricone badge number 116 and asked him what was going on he said NOTHING, I got agitated and asked several more times with the same lame response. I later went out and spoke to him as he was leaving and he refused to talk to me because I wouldn't give him my name. I don't think this should have been his response to a simple question, clearly something was going on with all those vehicles, never see that here in over 40 years

I wish there was a 0 star option. Genuinely disgusted by this system. When I see a person in uniform, I want to feel safer, I want to feel protected. This department is intended for safety, but in reality they shed fear in their wake. And to no surprise, given they witch hunt students within the campus rather than protecting the students in harms way or those who could potentially harm others. I really want to like y'all because I love my PD at home and I have met many incredible cops I owe the world to. Not these. Y'all are disgusting.

An officer illegally obtained and searched my property, leading to 2 misdemeanor charges, then LIED in the police report about the entire thing. My lawyer said there's nothing I can do about it because they'll just testify to whatever information is in the report, and obviously they'll be believed over me. I also later found out they only went through with my arrest because of my unfriendly “attitude.†1. That is blatantly sexist and 2. Last I checked it's not illegal to question why police showed up announced in your upstairs living area. It's almost as if terrible people become police officers not to enforce safety, but to be put in a position where they can abuse their power. They truly don't care about safety, if they did they wouldn't bust completely in control parties, forcing dozens of incapacitated students to wander the streets of durham looking for a party that hasn't been busted yet. UNH has the 2nd highest arrest numbers in the country... No. Other. School. has police like this (except 1, apparently). I don't go to UNH, and many students I know have left UNH BECAUSE of the unreasonable, disrespectful, and unprofessional police department.

My husband and I were in a rear-end car accident on Saturday, Feb 3, 2019. We were stopped in traffic leaving a UNH Hockey game. There were three cars involved, the girl who hit us and the car she pushed us into. We were all fine, but quite shaken up. The police were there quickly. They were professional but approachable, so helpful and so kind. They exchanged all papers for us among the three cars. We can't thank them enough. Respectfully, Judy and Gary Guptill

Its obvious that many of these individuals never received proper training with how to monitor parking. Absolute hardos that need to go back to elementary school before they've can understand how to be decent human beings again. Can't say anything poor about the actual Durham police department/real officers, many of them are nice people or it least that is the way it seems. This complaint is directed entirely at Durham Parking Services and how they operate.

My husband hadn't even realized he left his wallet at Hannaford's when around 10 pm the doorbell rang and the female police officer gave it to him! His address wasn't even in it but they found him, that's great detective work. No other police station has ever come close to delivering a lost article to us before.

My 2yo son and I were involved in a minor accident earlier this afternoon. Everyone involved is fine, and the two officers that came to the scene arrived so quickly. Officer Kevin Abbott and the second officer I did not get his name, they were so kind to us and paid extra attention to my son. They both took the time to talk to him, gave him a teddy bear and a sticker. He just loved seeing their lights on. We are also new to the area so they made sure to answer any questions we had. I just wanted to say thank you for being so kind to us today. It really meant a lot.
