Jim has done several repairs for me and also worked with my husband to design a stunning diamond ring for our 25th anniversary. I stopped in to the gallery this week with several questions concerning old watches as well as a new setting for a ring. Mr. Livermore answered all my questions and made several very helpful suggestions. His custom jewelry is beautiful & I will be visiting again the next time I’m in Dover.

The jeweler here does excellent work I have had him repair platinum estate jelewery on two occasions and both times he as done an impeccable job at a very good price. The shop is great with lots of beautiful local handmade wares. Always a pleasure doing business.

From the moment I walked in Jim was very welcoming! He has many offerings of his own Jewlery creations , other artists creations and vintage pieces. I was looking for a vintage ring and found a perfect one there in which he promptly resized and polished with much care.

We brought our engagement ring here solely because he was the only one who could re-size while we wait within a very large radius. We were INCREDIBLY taken back by the history, pride, credentials and quality of work. The jeweler even explained everything he was doing while he worked which made the experience very personal and informative. Very friendly staff! Had the place to myself today and picked out a great moonstone pendant, necklace and could not stop at one heart shaped rose quartz heart. Gifts for the special people in my life.

My fiancé and I recently had two pieces of jewelry customized for our bridal set! Jim created a wedding band from a picture we drew that is exactly what we wanted, and hadn't found at all the area Jewelers. I brought in a vintage engagement ring that we wanted to add to to make it more personal. Jim found a beautiful Diamond to match one we had, and the new creation is beautiful and meaningful; combining the past with the present and future! Jim is an awesome person to deal with great ideas; his prices are very fair, and his turnaround time is Fast! We are happy to have found Jim for our jewelry needs and have a few smaller gemstone replacement projects to work with him on. The other artists who display work in his shop are creative and of high quality! There are paintings, pottery, notecards, and jewelry by various artists. Make sure to give Samantha a pat when you go in to look around; Jim's very sweet lab!

My wife and I went to Jim at Village Goldsmith to have him create her engagement ring and wedding band. We had a general idea of the design and a family stone. He was able to create an AMAZING one of a kind ring set that was exactly what we wanted. People are always stopping her in stores and everywhere we go to say how beautiful and unique her ring is. We loved his work so much, we went back to get a necklace and earrings to match. If you are looking for a custom piece of jewelry this is the place to come!

Village Goldsmith Galleries is more than a jewelry store. It's an art gallery much like the "League of NH Craftsmen" stores that seem to be everywhere but in the NH Seacoast region. It was the art glass in the window that drew me inside, but there was more to see. Jim, the owner of the store, will take your old unloved gold jewelry, melt it down, and turn it into something totally new. If you're into recycling and you've inherited some old pieces of jewelry that have sentimental value but aren't your style, here's an interesting option for you. He's also got work on display from other jeweler/artists, so there's a wide variety to choose from. This store is everything that Kay Jewelers isn't. If you're passing through Dover, this is the kind of place that you'll want to investigate.
