Bought a set of tires from Sullivan Tires in Dover, NH a few years ago. Recently I took my vehicle in for an air leak. They replaced a valve stem and also noticed a nail in another tire during the tire rotation. Sold me a new prorated tire under road hazard warranty. When done they told me I had a few bad parts in front end suspension totaling over a thousand dollars.. I took my vehicle to my dealer to have it checked under my warranty. They found NOTHING wrong with front end especially when just four weeks before they already did tie rod replacement during a state inspection… Dealer was baffled when I showed the print out from STire. Never again will I go back there. Now I’m
wondering if I actually needed a new tire. Why didn’t they show me the old tire with the nail in it.. ?

The team at Sullivan did a great job on my work truck. Had me back up and running in no time. Even more, the price was great. I'd definitely recommend them.

For the past 3 years, Sullivan tire has seemed to be reliable and trustworthy. So I purchased another set of tires from you guys. You were.
Able to fit me in the next day, where the dealership (with similar pricing) was able to schedule me 4 days out, which is not convenient for an immediate problem like a flat tire. I didn't have a day ortwo to spend researching prices, but I felt confident speaking directly to the local Dover, NH store that the manager (is it Dan?) helped me find a fair deal. My husband asked why I would trust a sales person instead of researching online, And the truth is, the websites are not clear on the tire brand/model name or the specs when listing prices, so I trust the people who have been good to me for at least 3 years.

Not impressed with service, they failed my car's inspection due to tread depth on my summer tires which they said were fine after removing them for the winter + weren't even on yet and drive belt wear but I got a few other mechanic opinions saying otherwise. When I took it to another place the tires were swapped and inspection passed with no problems. The alignment has also never felt better from the new place. They also charged me for something that was supposed to be quoted (they refunded me the right amount but come on) so make sure you check your receipt. They allow their shop to get extremely busy so an oil change+tire change+inspection took roughly 8 hours. Also after getting it back, I noticed the weather stripping on the driver's window had fallen off and after bringing it up with them they said this type of thing happens due to wear, which is probably true but with all of these things compounded from a single visit I will not be going back.
Don't let these guys upcharge you for tires just because they say they have rigourous standards.

I really appreciate the online appointment request process. It was easy to use, gave me plenty of room to describe my issue and concerns, and the turnaround time for the confirmation was extremely quick. I needed a wheel balance prior to a long drive in a couple of days and Sullivan Tire really came through for me.
When I was physically in the store the technicians were friendly, knowledgeable, and very agreeable to answering any question I had. My issue was resolved for a fair price. Thank you!

Had an engine emergency on the highway this morning. Pulled off the nearest exit into Sullivan and they immediately took care of my car and got me right back on the road. Highly recommend… and thank you!!!

Spent $1000 on a repair that didn't solve the problem. When I took it back, they said go to the dealer. No refund no nothing just $1000 wasted. Never giving them my business again.

Very upsetting experience today at Sullivan Tire in Dover. I went in to get a tire patched and put back onto my brand new car. I dropped it off at 7:30 am and asked to have it back by 3:00 pm, no rush.I received a call at 11:30 am telling me my car was all set and that I could come pick it up. Two minutes later, they called me back to tell me they were sorry but that my keys had been blocking the notes from the technician and that my car was not ready to be picked up. In fact they could not fix my tire with the nail in it and told me I needed 4 new tires before I could be given my car back instead. The service manager on the phone told me with brand new cars, the tires they give you on a new car aren't meant to last long and aren't the best quality it's time for new tires at only 25k miles. I asked him to quote me and he told me he would call me back. I really started to question this while waiting for the quote as I was just at my dealership earlier this month doing my routine maintenance which includes checking the tires, etc which they told me looked great and were in good condition. My tread could not have been worn down that aggressively in 2 weeks. When they called back, they quoted me at $984 for mid level tires to fit my car. I said I would have to think about it as I was not expecting to pay for 4 new tires today, to which he said I can bring it down to $680 for you to do it today. At that point, I knew they were trying to take advantage of me being a woman and assuming I didn't know anything about tires when I simply needed to have a perfectly good tire patched from a nail and nothing more.Shame on you Sullivan Tire for trying to do that to me as a female and knowing I needed my car to get somehwere later in the day. You should be ashamed of yourself for trying to get me to buy brand new tires just because I came in for a simple patch that was fixed later by a different honest place thinking I didn't know anything about cars.I will never be bringing my business there again.

Recently my son dropped his car off at this location for a state inspection and told the guy behind the counter that his wife would be picking it up. The car functionality was normal going in. When my daughter in law went to pick it up later she was told the car had serious brake issues and it would take about $600 in repairs before they would release the car. I am a mechanic so my kids called me in a frantic state. I went to the garage and demanded to see what the issue was. They told me the left rear brake pads were worn out and a brake line had been seriously damaged. I asked them to show me. They took me into the garage bay and the first thing I noticed was brake fluid all over the floor underneath that side. I also noticed that the caliper for the brake was off and apart. When they showed me this “serious” damage to this brake line, I noticed a small rub which in my opinion was not of a safety concern as they had told my daughter-in-law. Also, there was nothing anywhere near that line to cause the rub. I asked them why they opened up the bleed port for that brake. He told me that they had to because of other issues. There is no reason within the guidance for NH state inspection to ever open a bleed port. My immediate opinion was that the brake pads were worn and needed to be replaced however, that brake line should not have caused that car to fail. I told them to put the car back together and I would be taking it to repair it. They told me that unless I signed a waiver that I knew the car had safety concerns and pay for the inspection I could not have the keys. I told him put the car back together and give me the keys. I took my phone out and took video of the mechanic adding brake fluid multiple times and trying to bleed the brakes. This car went in with solid brakes. When they returned the car to me, there was no brake whatsoever and pushing the pedal to the floor and pumping did nothing to stop the car. The next morning I called the corporate office in Massachusetts and complained. About an hour later I received a call from the garage manager in Dover, New Hampshire telling me he was willing to compensate me for the issue with the car. My son and I changed out that “damaged” brake line and replaced the rear brake pads on his car within two hours with less than $100 in parts. So I wonder where the $600 price for this repair was arrived at. We also bled the entire system so that the brakes were back to what they should be. When we returned to the garage, they immediately treated us with kid gloves because in my opinion, they knew they got caught. They did the same thing to my wife a few years ago when she had a small amount of rust on her rear brake rotors in a vehicle that hadn’t been driven for over a month. I told them if driven for 10 miles the rotor would be clean of rust. They refunded the cost of replacement rotors and apologized for their error. Now with regard to my sons car, they refunded the cost of the inspection and paid us their normal charge of $145 for having to bleed the brakes. In all they refunded $185 to my credit card. Sorry to say I allowed them to pay me off instead of reporting it to the state. I am of the opinion based on what has happened there in the past that they pray on women and men who are unaware of mechanical issues in order to make money. If you’re smart, do not allow any person without mechanical knowledge to pick up a car there because they may also fall into what has actually happened to my family. I would say stay away from this garage because in my opinion, they are corrupt. As you can see below, it was typical corporate speak in their response. No ownership whatsoever. People should have been fired with a review like this.

Absolutely run from this location. I have been going there for years. The service now is atrocious. Oil change, tire balance and rotation. Put my car on the lift incorrectly and crushed the rocker panel. Had to be reminded to balance the tires. Doing the oil change, snapped off bolts, so they zip tied the metal shield in place. 100 point inspection, should be 102. Radiator hose leaking. Never told about. And a caliper needs to be replaced. No, was not told. Filed a claim with their insurance and it was denied. I am done. I will be talking to my lawyer and the BBB.
