I was very surprised that it took a couple of years to find the talent in this salon. I have had a few appointments with Shauny and my hair is exactly as I wanted it (went to 3 other salons prior). She is amazing...she takes her time to create the look you want (short) and after explaining a few issues I was having, a few clips later and it's a perfect cut. The current trends are long hair and color but it takes a talented stylist to cut/style short hair. My first appointment (cut/root touch up) she brought my original color back after another salon colored my bangs hot pink....and that was before my root touch up. Pin Up is a lovely vintage salon that is comfortable and well stocked with product(Kevin Murphy and others). I am impressed with some of the cuts and vivid colors the other stylists are doing here too...truly a fabulous place

Alex did an AMAZING job with my haircut. She talked with me and made sure she really understood what I wanted. I’ve been wanting this haircut for YEARS but no other stylist was understanding what I wanted. I haven’t felt pretty in a long long time. After my appointment today I felt BEAUTIFUL!

Alex is the best. I have very thick course hair and she always makes my hair look amazing! She has been doing my hair for over 15 years. Pin up is a great and attentive crew.

I went in for a curly haircut. The owner Alex was my stylist. My hair turned out fine but, the overall experience was subpar. During the appointment, all I heard was stuff about her life, her husband (who she didn't talk to for 4 days), her kids, and anything under the sun that revolved around her. I just couldn't get a word in! I felt like I was her therapist instead of being able to decompress while getting my hair done. The setting inside was nice, the building had a nice feeling but, I did not like how she talked to her staff. You could see that there was a HUGE power dynamic and that mixed with her self-absorption did not sit well with me. Overall, the quality of work was fine at best. For the work done on my hair, I don't think the experience was worth it. She just rubbed me the wrong way. I hope you can do better.

I’ve been considering finding a stylist that can work well with curls but I’ve never committed. I am so glad I waited until the stars aligned for me to meet Alex. Alex truly took her time listening and understanding my routine, issues, ideas, likes, and dislikes. I wanted a professional that would work with my curls so that I don’t have to fuss with them as much and she heard me and delivered.
