Petco
877 Central Ave, DoverI come in at least once a month for dog food at most of the time it’s just normal retail service but when I went in today an associate there named Diane was very helpful. She was such a positive person and it was a pleasure to be helped by her. I hope the rest of the associates there start holding themselves to the standard Diane sets for herself!

825 Central Ave, DoverI thought I was out of luck when my dog didn't react well to an expensive bag of food. They gladly took it back and helped me pick out something else guided by helpful nutritional insight and friendly service. I am glad I didn't buy my dog food online like I seem to do everything else!!

Deco Dogs Daycare
21 Back River Rd, DoverWe've had 2 dogs go here for daycare over the last 14 years. There is no other place we would trust as much. Kerry is the best, she loves all the dogs like they are her own. Their groomers are great too. The most important review is from our dog, she get pretty excited everytime we drove by.

All 4 Paws Grooming
153 Drew Rd, DoverMy dog absolutely hates going to any groomer but not here ...as Janey and I were talking , he ( my mini Goldendoodle) just said I'm going around back again... I like it here and started giving Janey Lovin. That's all I need even though he looks cute as a button when we leave and she finds mats that I don't even know are there.. she also waited for me as I got a piece of metal in my tire on the way to pick up my dog. Thought I would go early to take pictures with my new camera on her land. Ended up at Sullivan tire and needed a whole new tire and they were great too. TY Janey

New England Equine Medical & Surgical center
15 Members Way, DoverWe took my appy Spud down for ongoing foot problems. He just kept getting abscesses. He has been nerved and there has just been no real soundness. We resorted to glue on shoes because of white line that was destroying his hoof wall. They took additional films, reviewed all of his prior records and it was determined that he has pedal osteitis. A farrier put klogg shoes on and doxy was prescribed. He is comfortable, and although I know we have a long road ahead of us, I know we'll get there. He is going back down in May for another set of shoes and xrays. To think this all started with a stick going up through his coffin bone in 2018. Thank you Dr Davis and your team for making my boy feel better.

Pet Sitting & Training
K9 to 5 Dog Services
66 Third St Suite 209 (Rear, DoverPeace of mind!I always go to Google Reviews for a business I’m unsure of and try to sort through which reviews seem genuine. Look no further, I’m a paranoid pet dad who was very nervous about giving my animal to a board service/trainer. The risk was worth the reward.I did a lot of research for my dog before I had a trip and I was very unsettled about leaving him with someone I didn’t know. He’s a rescue from another country and had very inhumane living conditions before I got him (let’s just say he was on a menu somewhere). Plus he’s only 20 lbs and pretty defensive at times. I was worried he would have a bad experience with a dog and get hurt or wouldn't be properly supervised around other animals.K9 to 5 seemed to have good reviews. A few outliers like any company, but if you look at their history Jacqui has gone out of her way to make her company the best that it can be from the motivation of actually caring. I locked in a reservation after having the best feeling about her.Dropping him off for a “meet and greet day” before committing to my reservation was a little nerve wracking. Honestly I had a little of a hard time finding the place so do your research on Google maps before you go (yes, its behind the June Cork Pub, just stay left upon entering and it will take you down to the entrance). Upon entering, I noticed the place was definitely a dog heaven. It has all fancy training equipment and had an enthusiastic staff ready to meet him. Sure, the place definitely had a dog smell to it lol but… it’s a dog place. That’s what they do. Seemed very clean despite this. I left my little dude there for about 8 hours and when I picked him up he was happy as a clam. When the time to go for my actual trip, Jacqui accommodated my weird drop off hours needed and took him personally. I was given information on how to log onto cameras to watch him while I was gone. Then as time passed, I started getting videos of what he was being trained on and he looked so happy! When I finally picked him up, he was happy to see me but almost seemed like he was sad to leave. He was definitely properly socialized and had made a few friends. It was pretty warming. In the end I ended up with a lot of videos (see attached snippet) on what my dog had learned from training which left me at a great place to continue building good habits with him. Jacqui had a lot of great tricks and tips and even provided solid documents to continue this journey with my dog. It’s going to be my go to place if I ever go out of town and want peace of mind. I think you will have the same experience as me if you go with this company. Thanks K9 to 5!

Stalk
286 Central Ave, DoverWe came in last night as a party of 4 with a reservation and were seated right away. Our server was fantastic, kind and tolerated having to talk to my dad beautifully- I didn't catch his name but he just moved back to Dover from Spain. Please give him our thanks!! We substituted a bunch of things, but everything came out perfect even with all the swaps. I have gastritis and have had a really difficult time eating at a restaurant since I got the diagnosis- it was amazing eating delicious food someone else had prepared for a change! Our favorite dish was probably the beef bourguignon, all of the vegetables were tender crisp while the beef was melt in your mouth tender. The beet and orange ice cream and white chocolate mousse with corn cookies were stellar, so unique without any of the flavors clashing or being too strange to enjoy. The only complaint I have is that it was a little warm inside- even after shedding some layers we felt a little uncomfortable.

Chapel + Main
83 Main St, DoverWe ordered the pub cheese with pretzels, the fish and chips and the orecchiette pasta. I appreciated that the pasta dish included chick peas along with eggplant puree, ricotta and summer squash. A lot of restaurant vegetarian dishes are missing a protein and lack flavor. This one was hearty and delicious. The pub cheese, fish and chips and cocktails were also delicious.

Fat Dog Kitchen
20 Third St, DoverHad a Benny.. very good..red flannel hash was good..a bit too much texture.. I get it… artisanal. It was a bit cold so we weren’t able to eat outside so much but next time I think we will. Probably wouldn’t go too often. Maybe will go again in the springtime.

Pope Memorial Humane Society - Cocheco Valley
221 County Farm Rd, DoverI wish I could give more than five stars. Their team is absolutely incredible. They spent an hour gathering up almost 30 cats and kittens from the home of someone in desperate need of their help. They were kind and courteous, with absolutely not a shred of judgment to the owner. They then offered resources to the owner to help care for the three cats remaining. I can’t speak highly enough of them, they are truly incredible. I cannot wait to follow Dipsys story, I know she’s in wonderful hands. Thank you thank you thank you.
