2010. Negligence! My dog Died at Tufts after being treated by Claremont Animal Hospital. Information: New Hampshire Department of Veterinary Medicine website. Read about the sanctions instituted on Dr. Fisher and Dr. Mills. If there were a choice of zero stars, that would be my choice. Dr. Fisher agreed to take a course and pay a fine to avoid the case going to court and having doctors from Tufts testify against him and Dr. Mills. He sent me a bribe letter to drop my complaint, which I sent to the New Hampshire Department of Veterinary Medicine. His and Dr. Mills’ discipline letter will remain on their record at the department forever.\nNobody who loves their pet should set foot in Claremont Animal Clinic. I waited too long, until my Lucy was yellow while those two vets were giving me false information, to take my dog and her records to Tufts. Dr. Johanna C***** tried so hard to save her. She tried numerous times to get in touch with Dr. Fisher who would not return phone calls.\nI wouldn’t advise anyone to take their animal to Claremont Animal Hospital. I believe Dr. Mills is still there because every prospective animal hospital or clinic refers to the nationwide Department of Veterinary Medicine to check for letters of discipline or any other negativity on records before considering hiring a new vet to their team.

Professional staff and careful, thoughtful vets. I have several dogs of various ages with different health issues. I am happy to have found this practice where I feel as though we are a health care team for my precious dogs.

We started using this vet on a recommendation of a friend and I have never had a great experience there. The last straw for me was calling about my elderly cat's recurrent UTI and being told they couldn't see her for another 5 days. I told whoever answered the phone that she could be dead by then and this is not a workable situation but they didn't apologize or seem to care. I constantly hear excuses about them being short staffed... for the past several months. At check in and check out, receptionists are often annoyed at my presence, rarely make eye contact, never apologize for delays. I once waited over 15 minutes to check out and I was the only person standing there. Don't use this vet, they can barely handle the patients they already have.

My mother had to put down her dog of 13 years. She was treated rudely and without compassion. They seemed mostly concerned about getting the bill paid. Horrible experience during a difficult time.

Took my dog to Claremont hospital after trying another vet hospital but she was not getting. She had torn her face and ear scratching vigorously. Dr Dori examined her patiently and took a culture and biopsy. She provided some short-term pain-killer and sedation relief till the culture and biopsy was done. The culture helped select the appropriate anti-biotic. The treatment was a slow process and my dog had to wear a cone for a month. But she is much better now. Dr Dori follows a methodical process of treatment. If you are patient with the recovery process, the treatment provided is excellent.

Best vet around. Last year my 8 year cat had a heart attack and passed away. They have me a plate with his law prints at no charge when I picked up his ashes.

My go-to vet for our pets (One cat and one bunny!) I'm pretty neurotic when it comes to pet care, especially for my bunny, and I always leave happy. There's not a lot of options in this area, but I'd recommend anyone to Claremont.
