We had to rent a scissor lift to do our siding. The process was easy and delightful from beginning to end. The price was right as well. They couldn’t drop it off until late Tuesday so they didn’t charge us for having it Tuesday. They delivered it when they said they would and there was no issues which there usually is lately when dealing with companies. I would rent from them again and also recommend them to my friends and family.

We rented a dozer from the Chichester NH location. Provided the correct paperwork to them for our own insurance binder so we didn't have to pay their $390 damage waiver fee. When we first realize they charged it anyway. We called in to have it removed. They acknowledged we sent them the paper work for our own insurance and it was acceptable and said they would refund the $390. Fast forward a month, 3 more phone calls identical to the first and still no refund. Called them again today and same story except now, they're blaming it on the Portland store, though we have never dealt with them and all business was done through Chichester. We Finally had to just open up a dispute with the credit card company to resolve it. Terrible customer service, accountability issues and they waste your time.

This review is about "ProQuip Rentals", not Milton Rents. I have rented equipment periodically for use in my business over the past 26 years. Recently I needed a particular item that was in high demand . unavailable when I needed it. I called ProQuip in Chichester and found that they had what I needed at the same rate as everyone else who didn't have it. We agreed on terms and a tentative delivery date with the agreement that I would receive a courtesy call notifying me of the delivery time but to expect it midday. At midday I called to ask where the delivery was and was told to expect a return call. I happened to work later than usual at the jobsite that day because my customer and myself were frustrated at the missing delivery. At around 5:30pm I hear a noise and see a delivery truck and trailer backing up the road, with my rental equipment. The driver was the person I had arranged the rental with (Jack) who promised to call me. I was so stunned that my first question was "why did you back all the way up this road (3/4 mile!)" His reply was that "he didn't know the road and didn't want to be unable to get out". Hello GPS? It's a through road! I then asked him what he would have done if I hadn't been there since he hadn't called me. " I would have put it in the driveway" It's a 65' manlift, not a small machine!Anyway, the machine worked flawlessly and I got the job finished by end of business day Wednesday, which is what I had verified with this same person (Jack) that morning. On Friday morning I called to remind them to come pick up the machine. On Monday I called them again to demand that they get it off my customer's property. Fortunately they came later that day and picked it up.So, in summary, the equipment and price were good, the customer service and communication were terrible. Update: I received a bill from Pro Quip. When I refilled the diesel tank for return I was short 5 gallons. They charged me $7 per gallon. Nice!
