We have had the pleasure of having our dogs taken care of at Charlestown Animal hospital since we moved here almost 5 years ago. They care about your animals as much as you do.

Do NOT go here! Their service is terrible. It is a 5 - 6 month wait for an appointment and they didn't call me as a reminder the day before as they normally do. Then, charged me $170 for a missed appointment fee. I'm furious because I knew what day, just unsure on the time. I spoke to the owner and he didn't even seem to care. Not entirely sure on the quality of service, since every time I'm their he's busy euthanizing your pets!

Charlestown Animal Hospital provided excellent care for our senior cat in the last year of her life. The experience, wisdom, and compassion of the entire staff was invaluable to us. They are working tirelessly to accommodate everyone they can in the area, and their dedication is admirable. They know the importance of our animals - that's priceless. Thank you!

I've been going to Charlestown vet for a few years now with my cat and dog. Both of my friends have had exceptional care from the doctors, nurses and all the staff. Personally for myself, they answer all my questions and concerns. They work hard to do a great job for our community. It's hard to find a good Vet these days. Thank you Charlestown Vet for taking such good care of my loved ones!!

Brought cat in for a simple nail clipping and sanitary clip. To my utter disgust, this is what they did to my poor animal. Totally dismayed and disgusted with what these people did to my cat. Horrible, and very dissatisfied with the professionalism of these vets

I cannot say enough great things about everyone who works in this tiny but might office. My cats have been patients for several years and every time I have been able to speak with Dr. Lindo, Dr. Desmond and Reza, they have always been able to communicate my boys needs effectively. The compassion, effort, care and desire to enrich our community with meaningful and impactful care for our sweet companions is something significant that stays with me. Gratitude always and I’m so happy to know I have a great care team in my cats lives. They are my everything and this office helps me support them 110% to be the best owner I can be to them. Much love Charlestown Animal Hospital. I don’t know what I’d do without you. ? ? - Chanelle+Roy & Max&BoBo

I'm new to the area and a new patient. My dog needed surgery to remove some fatty lumps and we scheduled it nearly 2 months in advance. On the day of surgery, we arrived early and got my dog checked in and settled into the kennel around 8:30am. When I called to check in at 5:20pm, I learned that my dog had not received the operation and was the kennel ALL DAY except for a few potty breaks. I was livid! What made it worse is that the person I was on the phone with tried to downplay the whole affair. I spoke with a friend who is a surgical tech in a vet hospital and she explained that to have an animal scheduled but not operating during their appointment is highly unusual. The folks at Charlestown Animal Hospital did not acknowledge this and continue to try to gaslight me into thinking this situation is normal. I'm happy that they rescheduled for a week later and my dog got the surgery he needed. I guess we're square now because I cussed them out for what they did and did not receive an apology. They have a great reputation but everyone makes mistakes. When mistakes happen, someone should take responsibility and be held accountable. Call this a lesson learned.

I spent quite some time doing research, on local animal hospitals. I have no doubt I chose the right one.Every single member of staff was incredible. They were kind, patient, understanding, and full of knowledge. All questions were throughly answered, and they made sure I knew what was going on. And most importantly, they took amazing care of my baby.Thankful to have found such an incredible place!

Very thorough and personalized care. They develop a plan of care to meet each animal’s needs. It is great that they don’t use the cook book method of care that so many big corporate vets use. It is also rare that they have a vet on call 24/7 and don’t just shuttle you off to an emergency vet after hours. They always come to the phone and are willing to answer questions/troubleshoot rather than have you wait for an appointment. We travel all the way from Concord because we support these small vet practices who practice vet medicine the way it should be done.

I was thinking of not writing a review because this is the best-kept secret in the veterinary world. To say I am impressed is far too short of our experience. Dr. Claire was top-notch. Not only does she has the experience to diagnose our family dog, but she also has the BEST "Dog Side Manner" I have ever experienced in a veterinary office. Dr. Clair's professionalism was like talking to a family member. She took the time to explain in detail our doggie's ailment. The intake staff was absolutely a member of the team. Best of all, our hats off to Raza. You will not find anyone better in any veterinary clinic that can fulfill his role and support "patients" and clients. Dr. Claire's group is really one of the best. Having come from Southern California, where veterinary clinics are large in numbers, we found a home for our Samantha under the care of Charlestown Animal Hospital.] The team really deserves more than a five-star rating!

We drive 45 minutes extra to take our dog to Charlestown Animal Hospital. They are the kindest vet team we've EVER had (in years and years of taking care of dogs). Always willing to help or answer questions. We know our sweet dog is in such good hands here. Thank you, Charlestown Animal Hospital!
