Rip off pricing.

I wish I read the reviews before choosing Suburban Propane. Like most people here, I got a bill for $1.80 per gallon higher than the average. That means that I will be paying over $300 more than I should have for this fill up. Happy New Year to me...

Truly the worst company on the seacoast out to screw everyone and anyone! Poor customer service! They don't even deserve 1 star!

Over $1.30 higher per gal on propane over competition (normalized by time period) paid $5.699 gal in MAR 2022. I found it very inconvenient to swap but this difference left me no choice (customer for 6 years). The one star they got for 'trying' to make it right and returning phone calls; but I lost confidence in their ability to secure competitive pricing. I rent tanks so I can't easily switch propane suppliers; I was afraid of getting screwed again.

I had the pleasure of working out an issue with Mary Gillis, Customer Service Agent.. She was extremely helpful, professional and most of all very customer focused. I intended to cancel my service but through her efforts and her understanding of my problem, I decided to stay with Suburban.

They told me they owned my propane tank, so I used them for a few years. Then, the actual owner of my tank locked my tank and I was out of heat suddenly while the two companies argued about who owned my tank. Turns out, Suburban Propane did NOT own my tank and caused me some cold nights and a lot of unnecessary fighting with another company. They were also charging me "service fees" for a tank they were not servicing. This company does not have any integrity. Stay away.
