About Forest Society North at The Rocks
The stone walls and historic buildings at The Rocks evoke the pastoral beauty of turn-of-the-20th Century New Hampshire. Now home to Forest Society North, The Rocks was once the summer home of Chicago businessman John Jacob Glessner and family. In 1978, Glessner's grandchildren donated the 1,400-acre property to the Forest Society, with the requirement that there always be a crop in the field. For more than three decades, that crop has been Christmas trees, and families visit each winter to find their perfect tree. The Forest Society offers a host of other activities at The Rocks, from the NH Maple Experience to educational tours. Trails open year-round. Accessible bathrooms open daily to the public (8 AM- 4 PM) in the Carriage Barn.

The Rocks is beautiful! A wonderful view and expansive tree farm, you can also stop inside to shop or grab a hot cocoa and go on a sleigh ride! Have been coming here for years and hope to come back for years to come

So interesting and beautiful! The building alone is gorgeous but the grounds are awesome. We walked an interpretive trail that explained the tapping process for maple syrup.

Exceptional stay at this scenic and serene slice of heaven. Spotless unpretentious comfort, the cottage, trails and grounds speaks for itself.
