Crotched Mountain Ski and Ride is a fantastic, fun little mountain located in Bennington, NH. It is a Vail Resort that offers a great, pretty long beginner run area as well as steeper, more challenging areas and epic lines for more advanced players. The mountain does a decent job with snowmaking, though not all trails are open in low snow winters. Night skiing is available, with areas open from 3pm to midnight, offering a unique experience though the snow can turn to ice, which is dangerous. The resort has a mix of old school lifts and a high speed chair. One specific bottleneck area is noted as always icy and dangerous, requiring caution. The mountain hosts many ski racing events, which can bisect the ski area and make traversing challenging. The lodge is decent with a convenient, large boot changing area downstairs. Upstairs, the restaurant is pretty tasty, offering a basic variety of reasonable, well-cooked food. The ski shop has all the necessities and provides amazing, friendly service. The employees are very attentive, helpful, in a great mood, and welcoming, making the place feel like home. The mountain peak also offers amazing views, especially at sunset. There is adequate parking and easy access to the lifts. With its variety of terrain for all levels and extended hours, it is well worth a day on the slopes to get your legs tired by the end.

Night skiing at Crotched is always fun. The staff is friendly. I don't know why they stopped doing the Midnight Madness with the bonfire and music. That was always lots of fun.
