I love calef's they have so much packed inside such a small store. You can get anything from craft beer and hot sauce to things to make soup or stop by the deli. I always find something new in there.

Love all their cheeses !!! As a matter of fact I’m eating some Steakhouse cheese as I type this.And the store is quaint with nostalgic items , it really is a pleasant day trip to visit.

I have been coming to Calef’s since I was an infant! The penny candy had my brothers, cousins and I HOOKED for life! The cheese is DIVINE and the bread is, as toast, well as my brother used to say “better than sex”! I could not wait to get into the pickle barrel, which are better than, well all other pickles in the ENTIRE universe!! One of my favorite memories is having a tuna sandwich on Calef’s oatmeal bread with extra sharp cheese sitting on the front steps with my friend from Ireland. There’s no excuse and no BETTER excuse for not stopping at Calef’s on the way to Lake Winnepesauke for Vacay or just a little trip to pick up penny candy, cheese, FRESH oatmeal bread, and of course a PICKLE ? ?

I really like shopping here it feels like familiarity and good ol fashion home shopping.
You'll find what you need and want, to go back for a sandwich and a friendly smile.

Honestly, I have a lot to say here. Quick and simple. Absolutely treats their employees horrible. From what Ive seen the last couple of times I’ve came in they all were running around with their heads cut off. I had a friend who worked there and said that they would yell at them for no reason. You’d think they would have better communication and understanding about certain things but getting talked to rudely infront of customers is not good on their part. Safe to say I won’t be purchasing here any longer.

I bought crackers, cheese and tried to get some ham from the deli. Nobody would look up from the deli to wait on me. The crackers are from china..factory based in Hong Kong...seriously, Elki crackers. Why would these even be in a New Hampshire Country Store. The cheese is okay but there's no tag on the package naming who made the product so I'm throwing it all away. So disappointed.
