Updated: 10/10 for Hillsborough County Vet. If there was 11 or 12 out of 10, I would pick that. Highly recommend. This group of professionals combines great medical care with real compassion for our animals. From regular checkups to difficult end-of-life decisions, I have appreciated the team and their obvious concern for animals.

I have been a happy customer for over twenty years. It always comfort to walk into the office because of caring people from the front desk to the sweetness of the vet tech and the expertise of the veterinarian. I always feel I have choices with my cat’s treatment plan. The office is very up to date with new treatments and medications. I appreciate being able to email the office and receiving a response and not have to always bring my pet into the office regarding my concerns.

As one of their founding families that has brought our pets to their practice for over 30 years. It all started when our young dog got hit by a car in front of our house. At the time Cheryl and Ken were just opening the practice, they hadn't started seeing patients yet. I carried my pup who was in shock in unannounced and they saved his life. We have had many kinds of pets. Mostly dogs and cats but once my son's rat was sick and they referred us to a specific doctor who saved his life. Even the sad times were handled with caring love for the pets and their people. I can honestly say they are the best.

We have been coming to Hillsborough County Vet for over 14 years! Sarah, Randy and Dan have been there throughout all of our years there and have loved all our dogs! They have taken such loving care of our dogs and of us during the puppy times and at the end of life times and all the times in between. We appreciate them so much ❤️

My girlfriend's Chihuahua was having some issues with her teeth and needed to have a few extractions done in order to relieve her pain. We scheduled with HCVH and they were able to promptly schedule both pre-op and surgery, and the entire experience was smooth and professional with an excellent bedside manner.
Her pre-op visit was just to take some blood samples and to give her a general physical, whereas on the day of surgery she was dropped off in the morning and picked up by mid-afternoon. While she was expectedly dazed when we first got her, it became obvious that she was feeling better by the next day based on her appetite.
The staff made sure we were all clear on what kind of post-op care she would need, what her medication schedule was, and what to do in the event that she had any complications, which she didn't.
We've got one more dog with the same issue so we'll be back, and I would recommend this practice to anyone looking for great care for their fur babies.

I just had my cats 2nd annual here.
One if my cats has medical issues and the vet was very thorough with many questions and a very thorough exam. She pinpointed the issues, came up with a conservative and cost effective plan for us. She was accessible for planned phone follow ups. Over a period of time my pet improved and continues to be stable , both physically and behaviorally, with a special diet and minimal medication. We also have a plan for possible recurrence for my cats long term illness.
I trust their care and expertise and recommend this veterinary practice.
