I know it's GameStop's schtick to try and sell you their rewards program, but I don't need the guy being rude and condescending after receiving a "no thanks" and "I'm all set thanks" when declining to spend $14.99 for their 40th anniversary special.
If you're looking to preserve physical media purchases for consumers, start by not pushing them out the door with a bad attitude and lousy upsell tactic.

What a bad experience. No reason for the ga to be rude but he was. Wanted to swap some “blank” cases from an online order for the real ones. Was told no because a) they were for customers and b) it was a bit over the return policy… first shame on that person for the “they're for customers”comment, i am a customer, im standing there with the game from them… second im not returning them, i was just trying to get the real case that should have been included anyway.
Also it should be noted that i called customer service and the store beforehand to see if this was okay and something that could be done. Care said absolutely and apologized for not shipping with cases. The store rep (not the one i dealt with this day) said sure cmon in and he would help.
I know original cases may be splitting hairs for some and i got the games; but it goes both ways. Buying these games through other vendors would have been almost the same price maybe slightly more but they would have been complete.
What a terrible taste to represent the already flailing entity of gamestop.
Look, i know the pay is trash, and i know upper management can be a burden, and i know a mundane existence in the gamestop worklife can be pitiful, but honestly there was no reason to be a jerk, ESPECIALLY when i did the diligence to make sure this would be okay and ya just couldnt help yourself.
None the less, goodluck i hope you break free of gamestop and make it somewhere in life.

Just bought an elite series 2 controller today at 11 am and wanted to return the same day 5pm (SAME DAY) but they did not accept it. I wanted to return it because I found a better one at Best Buy. Idk what this company is doing for return policies but that has to be the dumbest one I have ever heard. The cashier wasn't very cool about it either pretty snappy so this blows now I have a $180 controller for no reason. Nice business GameStop

Sent my wife to go pick up a game that I preordered in the mall location, and told her to have them call and move the preorder money so she didn’t have to go out of her way. They were super rude and declined being able to do such a transaction.
As a former GameStop manager of 8 years and having friends who still work in the stores, I can tell you with certainty that is a straight lie to customers. I decided to buy the game digitally and will just go cancel the game at the mall when I get a chance

Fantasy customer service answered all my questions with my purchases. They have moved location from tgif side over to longhorn side. The complete opposite side of complex. They down side store size but still has wide selection of game used and new.

Went there yesterday. 2 employees and 1 person in each line. Line didn't move in 30 minutes even with people standing there waiting getting annoyed. The girl cashier is very over informative wasting a lot of time and lost sales because several people left. I left and went to another GameStop to make the purchase. She was selling a Nintendo switch but it really shouldn't take that long. I recently bought a brand new Subaru WRX and paid cash and it didn't take as long as this Nintendo switch purchase. Lol

Store Leader David was very helpful and knowledgeable while I was trying to make a decision on a gaming system. He showed up early to open the store in a blizzard and was the only employee in the store. Great work ethic and super nice guy.

Stopped in to browse and was immediately greeted by a nice guy. The visit turned bad when I went to buy a ps3 game labeled 1.99 and I mentioned it when it was rung up for 7. She exhibited a dismissive demeanor while adjusting the price and said that the price is wrong. I never asked for the price change so I don't understand her issue. On my way out the door I advised her that there was another game labeled 1.99 in case that was an error too.... She again replied dismissively, "yuuup"....Such a weird interaction

I had purchased a brand new switch with 4 games an extra controller and I thought protection on all the games. One controller was marked new but the box was tampered with. I don't blame gamestop but the box was clearly messed with and the controller didn't have a chord with it. When I went to gamestop asking to be switched or credit so I could buy a new controller I got the run around. Then i was told I cannot switch it out and was unable to do anything. The employee even said I guess you lose out on 27 dollars. Lovely customer service I had to end up leaving the store before the conversation was over with as to not say something extraordinarily impolite infront of kids. Target is where I will buy all my future games and systems!
