Cute little campground off of Rte 16. You can still get service for phones and laptops. The downside was that the bathrooms needed attention and never seemed to get it. They could use a new host at this campground!

We enjoyed our stay at White Ledge Campground while visiting sites along the nearby Kancamagus Highway. The campground entrance is difficult to find because the sign is set far back from the road and only visible once we turned into the driveway. There are small signs on Route 16 in both directions alerting drivers to the campground ahead, but the entrance is still quite easy to miss. The paved road within the campground is in need of patching, but it's passable for now. Hopefully it will be repaired soon. Campsites are typical of other White Mountain National Forest campgrounds, with a mix of walk-in and drive-in sites. As typical, there are no hookups, and restrooms are pit toilets which were clean, and there is one central water faucet in the campground. It's perfect for low-key camping. There is a trash dumpster at each of the two loops, and a recycling dumpster at the entrance. Two hiking trailheads are located within the campground, White Ledge Trail, and Carter Ledge Trail. There are approximately four parking spaces for hikers at the small picnic area within the campground. Most campsites are heavily wooded, however there is a medium sized field, good for playing, in the middle of the campground, and some sites have open views to the field and sun. Route 16 is busy, and, logically, sites closer to the road can hear the road more than sites away from the road, however nighttime traffic was much less frequent than daytime traffic. Due to the road noise, campsites along the road are probably least desirable to most people unless there is nothing else available, but I always say, an available campsite is better than not camping at all. We'll happily return when we want to say in the area again.Edit: They just added a new sign at the entrance that is visible when approaching from the south but not from the north.

This is a very convenient location to north conway NH. It’s very well run by the host however the condition of the entrance to this campground and its roads are a disgrace. We almost damaged our rig just entering the campground. This needs to be addressed by the management. The host has attempted to address this issue to no avail. We would not stay again until the asphalt was addressed. Such a shame. Beautiful location.

Needs updates. Showers would be a fantastic addition. There are no garbage bins in sight. they should have bear boxes.

Seems to be a bit of a hidden gem. Located fairly "south" as far as WMNF campgrounds go if think it would be busier. We had a wonderful time in a well separated site. Lots of shade. Quiet co-campers. Will definitely be back.

This is a well maintained campsite. They provide you with a picnic table and fire pit. There is a decent sized clearing you can play on. The bathrooms are vault toilets and very clean. John the host is very friendly and offers firewood for $8 a bundle. This camp is close to the Conway area and the Kancamagus. It’s right of route 16 so there is some traffic noise.

Horrible campsite. Didn't get a minute of sleep due to the constant noise from traffic. Don't sleep here without investing in a great set of earplugs.Edit: Stay at the campsites far from the road. Don't bother with sites 14-28. Staying in further you can still hear the highway, but it isn't half as bad and you can actually sleep. Sites 5-9 seem to be the best. Don't bother camping here if those are taken.Great cell service though!

Really like it, however the site we had was had a slope to it that made the kids fall often. Without photos of the sites, one cannot know until you arrive. The host was great and have my kids some booklets that kept them busy for a couple of hours. Of you don't like bugs, stay away. However if you don't mind a few bites and harassment, I strongly recommend you give this place a try. Site 9 seems to be the best one, with the most privacy.

A great place to camp out for a few days! We had good weather on our trip and we really enjoyed ourselves. We plan on going back to that same area in mid- August. New Hampshire has a lot of National Forest campgrounds, and they are all very nice places to go to. Our Camp Host, "Don" is very good at helping with information, etc.

Nice campsite close to the town of North Conway. Bathrooms were well upkept and the campground was quiet for the night as we had a spot further away from the road. About 40 minutes away from AMC Pinkham Lodge where we went to hike up Mount Washington.
