“Front desk staff (Jan) was sweet and friendly. Renovated room was very clean and cool which was a nice break from these hot summer days. Great place to stay to break up my coastal drive from Prince Edward Island to Maine.”
“We stopped at Calais Motor Inn over night while traveling through the area. The parking lot was spacious and well lit. We stayed in room #212 which had two double beds. The room was clean, quiet and warm seeing as the temperature was in the single digits outside. The front desk staff were very polite and helpful while discussing area businesses. The restaurant was being remodeled so we ate in the pub. The food was delicious, especially the boneless chicken which came in a variety of dipping sauces. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The. Motor Inn is located a short distance from several shopping areas and restaurants. We would recommend Calais Motor Inn to our family and friends.......”
“Modest, friendly place. Bed sagged in the middle, but that wasn’t a huge problem. I hadn’t realized that the bathroom is shared. I wouldn’t have come if I had known that. But the bathroom was clean and we were lucky enough to be the only guests, so, no harm no foul. Breakfast was delicious. The grounds are very pleasant.”
“The manager/owner goes out of her way to make sure her guests have everything they need. We had all we needed for a place to sleep one night along our long trip. There is some renovation needed to what appears to be an old place and the shower ran out if hot water after a couple minutes. I hope they work on those renovations before any big hotel chain comes to the area. I saw a sign about one ciming downtown. Easy ride to Tim Hortins for breakfast and just 2 minutes from the Chocolate Museum and border crossing.”
