I truly enjoy going into this store. I sometimes will just browse and sometimes buy. My latest purchase was a rustic coffee table, a beautiful piece of furniture that I snagged at a reasonable cost and it fits in so nicely with my living room set. I like the fact that I know I will be greeted warmly and then left alone to browse and if I want to make a purchase, that decision is completely mine. No influence or pressure. And that makes shopping here so special. Special people make you feel special.

Purchased a Donald Choi Diego Sardegna reclining sofa here. The Bay also sells this model and a quick survey will tell you this is not a cheap reclining sofa model. The Italian made reclining sofa had beautiful leather, a contemporary design and was very comfortable. However in a very short time the frame caused wearing on the leather in several places. Although it had a hardwood frame, the unit's designed is faulty. We also suspect major issues with quality control and/or packaging and shipping. In our mind, the manufacturer, Diego Furniture in Italy and the importer, Donald Choi should be responsible for ensuring the consumer is getting a reclining sofa worthy of its hefty price.Because we had purchased the original reclining sofa at a sale price at Home Furniture in Moncton, the rep from Donald Choi reluctantly replaced the sofa under warranty. 6 weeks later reclining sofa 2 arrives; 7 days the same wearing on the leather through the frame begins to occur.We are two adults with no children living in our home. This is not a furniture abuse by owner situation.Again Home Furniture took photos and waited for the Donald Choi rep to respond. Horrible follow up service from the Donald Choi rep despite a one year manufacturer warranty and our purchase of an extended warranty. Almost a month later, were told the rep said, "Have them buy a sofa from someone else and I will take a look at the returned sofa, when I am in the area." Seriously!We subsequently had our money returned by Home Furniture and have left them with the issue of dealing with the Donald Choi rep. Yes, the third reclining sofa from a different manufacturer did cost us more money.This said, the staff at Home Furniture did their very best to address our concerns, patiently work with the Donald Choi rep and advocate for us. They researched and fairly priced the new reclining sofa we purchased from another manufacturer. It will be 6 more weeks until we receive sofa 3.Would we buy another reclining sofa from Donald Choi--never. Would we buy another Diego Furniture piece--never. Would we buy from Home Furniture again--yes. And the newest sofa's manufacturer's quality--yet to be determined.
