My girlfriend and I have been going to Grand Manan for a few years now, and really enjoy camping out there. One of the musts, and I've had it three times, is the smash burger at High Seas Convenience. It's on the small side but the flavour and seasoning is great. One of the many nice surprises visiting the island, not to mention how pleasant people are there. We'll be back next year!

Grabbed an early dinner here Saturday. Kind of an odd-looking joint but not entirely as it appears.
It looked to be outdoor picnic table dining only but there are tables inside as well which was welcome on this cooler night (though I would opt outside otherwise). Not immediately obvious but there’s a nice view.
Basic fried seafood here is the specialty and they do it pretty well. Wife had the special which was lobster poutine and she loved it. Done in a Newburg style sauce, there were ample chunks of fresh critter along with perfect squeaky curds. My fish was a little over but still delicious. My only negative was the coated frozen fries that are far too popular these days. Wife however likes them so they’re probably not going away. Good slaw.
Pleasant, friendly owners and bargain meals. Recommend!

Come for the ice cream! And have some food off the menu too. Like deep fried mushrooms, clam platter or the poutine (gravy is fabulous and crunchy fries are perfect).These are the places that are hidden gems

The food here is fantastic! So far my favorite is the whole clam platter but everything is delicious. They also carry a surprisingly wide selection of basic grocery items.

Excellent portions at an excellent price. Seafood is fresh and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the lobster poutine!

I ordered the shrimp platter. It was ready in 10 minutes. They were cooked perfectly and the fries were hot and crispy. The price was completely reasonable. The staff was polite and the kitchen was clean and organized. Thank you very much!

The fish and chips was so good, that I didn’t get a chance to take a picture before it’s gone. Their ice cream is also very very good for its price.

Went in and wasn't even greeted, ordered food (3 platters) and I asked the cashier if I was to wait outside and they will let me know when my order was done, he said yes. Hr goes by and I see the cook leave! So I go in and ask if my order was ready and he looked and said yes and pointed at a brown bag. No apology. The food was now soggy and could tell was over cooked or greas needed to be changed... it was gross my family and I would NOT recommend

This wouldn't be my first go-to on the island, but definitely a solid place to grab a diner meal. Their hours are great, which is why we stumbled upon them.

I had clams, mozzy sticks and fries. My husband and oldest son had fish and chips and my youngest son had a burger. Food was great. Lots to choose from on the menu. Great prices. We would come back! This is a convenience store with a canteen inside. Lots of outdoor seating with a nice view!
