I like this store! Big choice of products, fresh produce. There are so friendly and helpful staff. Cashiers always smile and polite. For me I see just one minus: sometimes some products are very expensive.

Great location and choices but the prices seem to go up on each visit. A bag of Doritos is 5.29 a bag for example.

We were helped at the cash by an awesome young guy named Duke. He was super friendly, helpful, and packed the groceries to perfection. His name tag said he just started this year, he was a pro though! Great job, keep it up dude.

i give this place a whopping 2 stars. bought some clementines on sale and brought them home. was feeling famished at 2:06am and decided to treat myself to the fruits of my labor (i carried around that freakin box for 4 hours), i was peeling and eating in the dark until i realized there was a strange dent in one of the half clementines i was eating. i look down and bam! a huge as moldy hole was waving back at me. i rate this 2/5 because i hope the mold makes me hallucinate so bad that it overpowers my diarrhea. wish me luck!edit: i respect the hustle sobeys, making a more organic and vitamin packed option of restoralax. very vegan friendly. would recommend.

I've been using this specific sobeys location for the last 10+ years. I will specifically go out of my way to use this specific location.The produce, deli, and bread section is a part of an open concept area that has a slight feel of an open-air market. There are large windows at the front on the store, allowing natural light to illuminate the area.The remaining sections are divided into aisles, as you would find in most conventional major grocery stores.The store is always clean, and employees can be seen regularly maintaining the common areas throughout the day. Because I frequently visit this location, I have become friendly with most employees and have always been offered nothing but excellent customer service and smiles.Now for the issue at hand. I am a connoisseur of butter, specifically the organic and grass fed varieties. Yes, the outlandishly priced ones, don't judge me.In the last year, I've bought butter, only to open it at home to find black mold on the butter. Of course, I return the butter to the store and am offered a refund/exchange and an appology. It's not really about the butter, but the inconvenience as I rely on public transportation.Naturally, now when I go there to buy butter, I diligently peel the wrapper ever so slightly to make sure no mold is visible and purchase it if there's no mold. If there is mold, I advise an employee if I can find one around or bring it to the cash.Last tuesday, Oct 31st, 2023, I visited sobeys and inspected the butter I wanted to purchase. I find black mold on the surface of the butter. I checked a few more of the same kind, more black mold.Nearby, there was an employee restocking the fridges. I proceeded to ask if he was responsible for the butter section, to which he confirmed yes. I showed him the two or three examples I found and kindly mentioned that the rest are likely also spoiled. He looked at me with a deadpan look and shrugged. I left the butter on his cart and left.I return two days later, Thursday Nov 2nd 2023, only to find the same butter on the shelf, in the same quantity suggesting that they were simply put back on the shelf and none of them were inspected for the presence or mold.The same gentleman was again nearby restocking the freezer. I brought 3 bricks of moldy butter, opened them, and left them on his cart in hopes that he finally recognized the problem. I did not interact with him on this second occasion due to my prior interaction with him.I return on Friday, Nov 3d. I am now fully dedicated and passionate in my pursuit and removal of moldy butter.I again, for the THIRD time, see this same butter on the shelf, in the same quantity. I grab 2 bricks of butter and peel back the wrapping to reveal beautiful, black splotches of mold.I bring the 2 bricks with me to the cash and am greeted by an older cashier who has provided me with excellent and consistent customer service in the past years.I explained to her in great detail about the moldy, buttery trials and tribulations I have endured in the last week, along with my questionable interaction with the employee.The cashier immediately reacted and proceeded to close her cash. You could tell she was annoyed with the situation, not with me. She said the employee I interacted with is the GROCERY MANAGER, and profusely thanked me for informing her of this situation and confirmed that she was going to take care of it herself, although you could tell that she was beyond annoyed with the situation.I returned today, 5 days later, Wednesday, Nov 8. The quantity of this specific butter was noticeably less, with about 50% of it gone. I wanted to buy one, so before placing it in my cart, naturally, I peel back the wrapper and notice visible mold. I proceeded to grab another. More mold.I am at a loss. I look above the butter and notice that on top of the refrigeration unit, a mesh type material ladden with black mold.I am by no means a refrigeration expert. However, there is no excuse for mold spreading to food purchased by your customers. Also, no self checkout = lineups.

Went to pay my hydro bill as this location was listed as a payment location. There was absolutely nothing in the store to indicate they have anything to do with nb power. So thanks for wasting my time.

You need to train your employees to at least smile a bit....I went through a cash and it was a young guy...by the time I was done paying...I thought to myself, there is a lot of grocery store around me....at the price of groceries why should I shop where i don't feel Welcome....this has happened quite a few times lately....:(

The store needs to enforce hair nets for bakery staff! Got my 4 y/o daughter a cake for her birthday and the cake was riddled with hair! Will have to replace it with one from somewhere else. I'm very disappointed!

There is a young lady that works the cash with colorful hair, she is extremely snotty and condescending.Every time that I go in there with my children she gives me nasty looks and makes snark comments about them being "a handful".Not professional at all.

The security there will profile you and accuse you of stealing, even if you have not left or tried to leave the store, and will ban you from the store without any kind of evidence or proof to their accusations.

The best place for fresh and juicy fruits. I can almost find any fruits I'm looking for anytime. I get wine and popcorn here too. A great place for all your grocery shopping.
