“A secluded lodge in South Lake Tahoe. 5 min from everything , but you feel like you're a world away! It was extremely clean and smelled so good . They have diffusers throughout the hotel and it is nice that it is non smoking . It is very safe as all outside doors into the hotel area are locked. They give you a key at check in. There is a little wine/craft beer bar in the main lobby that closes at 8pm. The beds are comfy and the rooms are updated. The kitchenette area has dishes, silverware, tea kettle, dish soap. They provide coffee and tea bags. Ice machine in the hall . We didn't think to bring our water. The water from the faucet was murky . But there is a 24 hour 7-11 nearby , we got water around 11pm. We ordered a yummy charcuterie box online prior to our stay and it was in our fridge upon arrival with a cute little note. The robes are slippers are a nice touch. The bathroom soaps/shampoos were nice. They have make up wipes (another nice touch) . There is a lovely private patio with chairs and a table. Microwave and fridThe only things I didn't love, but didn't mind either.. The hot tub outside was a little green . We didn't use it because it was about 35 degrees outside. The tvs have few channels, you need 2 remotes and the channels take forever to change. My hubby was thrilled the MotoTrend channel came in though lol ! This will be our go to spot in Tahoe from now on !”

“Wow! I didn't expect this place to be that amazing ( i mean, i did a little based on the reviews), but to experience it yourself is another story. We booked the number 4 room, it has a queen bed, a fireplace, a kitchen, and a bathroom. We have 2 kids, and we're used to sleeping in one bed. We got there, and the owner greeted us so warmly! They showed us our room and they made an extra bed for our kids! The table in our kitchen is convertible to bed. That was a total surprise, and we appreciate the thought so much! The common area is so beautifully decorated with christmas decorations! The happy hour starts and 5, and it's free! They served wine, cheese, olives, and crackers! It's very generous! They have lots of dvd to choose from, and you can also make popcorn in their popcorn machine! Around 6 or 7, you can do s'mores, too! Then they have a free breakfast! Bread, eggs, milk, yogurt, etc., they also served delicious waffles and lots of toppings to choose from. What a fun place to be. We ought to come back in the summer! Highly recommend this place! We can't wait to go back!Food & drinks: Free breakfast, free s'mores, free happy hour.”

“Nice little condo for our week stay. The condo has a kitchen with everything we needed to cook lunch or dinner. The bathroom was small but it's fine since it fit my two kids. I appreciated the washer and dryer in unit!!”

“Was really surprised when we booked this place. Rooms were nice and the proximity to Heavenly resort is a plus. Pets are allowed with a very nominal fees. Breakfast was limited and not self serving which is not a concern. I would definitely stay in this place again.Rooms: Rooms were comfortable and decent size. Beds were convenient, bathrooms were remodeled, kitchen was decently equipped.Nearby activities: Access to restaurants and shops.Walkability: Walkable to most of shops and restaurants”

“A fantastic VI Resort. As always, the condo had everything needed for a comfortable stay and was very clean. The staff are kind and helpful. Our 2 bedroom unit was spacious and had very cute decor. The fitness room was small yet well equipped. My husband was able to catch the shuttle right outside to ski at Heavenly. We look forward to visiting again.”

“First off, what a gem of a place. Quiet, located in a very tucked away place away from traffic. Absolutely loved the room and having a kitchen was a plus. Everything was perfect, including complimentary muffins, coffee, bagels and juice. We had our 2 year old with us, so families should definitely consider staying here. We spent 2 nights.Cons: neighbors next to us were very loud around 1 am on the 2nd night. Needless to say, it woke me up. It is always really unfortunate that people can be so inconsiderate, especially in a quiet, wonderful place. Also, no management on site after 6, however a cell phone number was provided. I didn't bother to text the number considering how late it was.We will definitely be back and next time we will be sure to knock on the neighbors door and ask them to keep it down.”

“This Vacation Club property was beautiful! Everyone was inviting and helpful. The villa was lovely and had everything one could need, and I really enjoyed the fireplace! The amenities were great! The location was central and I was able to walk to most places - a grocery store was the one place I couldn't get to without a car! I also did not find laundry soap for the washing machine in the villa, so will bring that next time. I really enjoyed my stay and would return in a heartbeat!”

“We have been in many places around Lake Tahoe. But ever since we discovered PlayPark Lodge, it cecsme our go-to second home in South Lake Tahoe area. Clean, comfortable rooms, Friendly staff. Easy access to all outdoor trails and locations. Walking distance to great restaurants. Walls are well insulated for noise from utter guests. Parking right in front of the rooms.”

“This is a funky older place right on the lake. The location could not be better. While the complex suffers from some deferred maintenance, we enjoyed our unit which allowed us to step off our lanai/ patio right onto a small beach and into the lake. The lanai/ patio is large and great for people and sunset watching. The units have full kitchens and plenty of BBQs for guests to use. Right next door is a nice park where you can rent water toys like kayaks, SUPs, and the like. Overall great little place near downtown South Lake Tahoe.”

“I HIGHLY recommend booking a vacation at Holly's Place! We booked a weekend stay in March and we were able to bring our large dog. Since the whole property is fenced in we could play fetch and not have to worry about him leaving and he had the freedom to explore the property. The best part was that we got up there on a Friday afternoon and we were the only people on the property. I know how this sounds... I promise this place is a hidden gem and deserves all five stars. The location is about 8 mins from Stateline and there are great places to eat within a couple of mins. I am planning on booking multiple rooms and bringing 2 or 3 other couples up there for a weekend getaway and it can't come soon enough. The rooms are cozy and there is not a lack of hot water or water pressure (if that is something you are concerned with). I also have to give a HUGE shoutout to Nancy who is one of the owners. She graciously let us reschedule our trip due to in-climate weather and she could have easily charged us more or put a fee onto the price that we paid, but she didn't. Sorry for rambling on. I have told multiple friends about Holly's Place and will be back up there soon! THANKS NANCY and Team!”

Highly recommend!Rooms: Clean and comfortable, walls are kinda thin but not problematically so.Nearby activities: Skiing, of course, but a lot of family activities in Tahoe.Food & drinks: There are a TON of food and drink options nearby, very easy to eat somewhere different every day.”

“Great location for South Shore, right at the line. Only complaint was bed was a little too soft, otherwise nice facility. Be aware, because some of the rooms are basically "owned", if you get 2 or more nights, you might have to change rooms!! We did not, but it is a possibility.”

Clean towels daily per request. Floors & groats was super clean. We were pleasantly surprised. Continental breakfast with flavored coffee was great for an easy free breakfast. Beautiful walk with Christmas lights already on the trees lining the strip.Food & drinks: Very nice restaurants close by Stardust LodgeNoteworthy details: I am a stickler for clean carpet, clean floors, especially clean groats. “This hotel is remodeled. It looks very new. Room is clean and updated. Breakfast is okay. I wish they have oatmeal and more fruit. Fruit run out all the time. That I like about this hotel is free changing EV, very Per-friendly. This is the first time I have seen so many dogs in the hotel. No one complains no dog allowed in the lobby even the dog barked. People are chatting and enjoying the time with friends and families in the lobby with their dog. The lobby is quite big with a bar. Coffee and hot water provides at all time. I love it. I will definitely come back here.”

“The staff were very nice. At about $120 a night for a big two bedroom condo with a jacuzzi and washer/dryer, this was obscenely good value for Tahoe. The only problem was that a lot of the vertical blinds were missing. This seems like a really easy fix. Otherwise the condo was well maintained.”

“We stayed here last minute. The price was great! The room was very cute and clean. This is a great little place to stay. Would recommend and would stay here again. The only downside we could find was that there was no hot water when we woke up. I think all of the other rooms had used up the hot water. The walls are a little thin so we could hear people on either side. Otherwise it was fantastic.”

“My partner hurt her knee snowboarding and ended up in the hospital and therefore we were unable to make it up to the 3rd floor balcony room we originally reserved. They were extremely understanding and gave me a refund on the room so we could just go home. Not all businesses will do things like this for you anymore. I will be booking a room here next year and will hopefully actually get to stay. Make sure you book through their website (((:”

“Hey, for a refurbished 60's motel, the owners did a pretty nice update. Very reasonable price for Tahoe, located on hwy 50 next to a great restaurant called Ernie's. The motel owner was super friendly and very accommodating. I plan to stay here during ski season too.”

“Such an amazing place that we've come to for 4+ years in a row now! Outside of the casino area and every room has a hot tub! This place is our go to when coming to Tahoe. I proposed here in Nov 2023 and it will always be a memorable place to stay every time we come up!”

“This was my first time to stay at The Jeffrey Hotel and I must say it's very clean, conveniently located close to the stateline and to the main part of town to a bunch of restaurants and stores as well as Harrah's and Harvey's, and a few miles drive to the beaches. It's a contactless check in and check out which is convenient as well as a keyless entry. You are provided your own code to get in to the rooms. The bathroom is walk in and super clean, no dirty grout, 2 showerheads on both sides, a ledge that can hold shampoo containers etc) and the hotel supplies their own bath soap/shampoo/conditioner, a window in the bathroom also is great and it helps, a clean sink with an updated faucet that I love (reminds me of a waterfall) - nice touch. They've also supplied black towels for make up removal and the other a bigger (feet) towel which I thought was pretty smart so all those white towels don't get heavily stained with make up. The only thing I would suggest is possibly provide an additional set of towels (bath/hand) because that helps especially if staying more than a night there which we had to ask for but luckily Roxanne was there the night we checked in and she was able to give us some. The bed was great but could use a topper to make it more comfortable. We left a computer bag the morning we checked out and the hotel contacted us via text and also left me a voicemail. Luckily we were still in town and we were able to drive back to pick it up from Roxanne. She was great because she remembered us and our car in that parking stall that morning we had checked out and the bag was in that spot. There were a bunch of us checking out that morning too. Thank you Roxanne for keeping our computer bag! We appreciate it. Also, thank you for granting our request for an early check in.”

“This was my second stay here. Had a beautiful 3rd floor view of Lake Tahoe. The room was like a new upscale apartment. It was cold at night, but the room had a much appreciated gas fireplace. The staff as always, was very friendly and accommodating. The drive up Kingsbury Grade here was not bad, especially since we didn't have to deal with snow on this trip.”

“The room was very small, dirty , the TV was not working, the plug outlets were broken, the stairs to my room ( room number 269 and 270) were closed and there is only one elevator, for which you have to wait 10 minutes every time. Sure this was a motel very sub par then holiday inn. On top of it there were people overcrowded in the breakfast area. It was the worst experience being an IHG member.”
