When we picked our dog up, she was very thirsty. Since picking her up, she hasn't been her same energetic self. Something off with her. The gal at the front desk is very rude. Definitely not a people person. Hope she treats our beloved animals better then she treats people. We've had our dog kenneled there on several occasions and that same gal has always been just flat out rude. My bad for not knowing her name. Would like to call her out directly

This place is amazing! Shootout to Pamela and Marilyn. They are both incredible! They were accommodating and figured out how to help us. Our boy Jogger loved his day care experience. This will definitely be our go to spot and where we will recommend our friends bring their dogs. Again, Pamela was amazing and Marilyn did so well with Jogger.

We didn’t end up using any services, but the customer service was top notch. We were looking for a groomer for a huge rescue dog that’s never been groomed. They pointed me in the right direction, and he’s a new dog now! We will absolutely be bringing some of the rescues to doggie day care

It was our first visit to Hair of the Dog Pet Concierge and we are thrilled with how they groomed our little Poodle/ Maltese mix. Every other place we have taken her does not follow our simple instructions (same length all over, with the shortest possible guard you have). People tend to want to make her poofy and very precious looking. We are delighted that here they took our request to heart! They treated her so nicely, and they were accommodating with our schedule. Cannot recommend enough and we will definitely be back

I was a little wary to leave my girl here, at first, because the gal at the front desk seemed like she wasn't a fan of german shepherds. She did explain they had a couple of incidences there recently with shepherds being aggressive so I understood her caution. I had already sent them a behavior report from our normal boarding/daycare, which had seemed a little odd, but this also made me feel better that they request this to ensure the safety of all dogs. The space is pretty cramped, however, it is VERY clean. I feel like my dog almost came home smelling better than when we left her. We only left her a few hours because our skiing plans changed but when we picked her up, she seemed to be happy to see us but not overly anxious.Another bonus about this place is their pricing. The daycare prices have different tiers depending on how many hours they stay, which I really liked. It seemed to be reasonable pricing, especially considering the convenient location. Will definitely be giving this place another shot next time we are in town so we can let her stay longer to play!

I felt leaving my dog here. experience here was all-around excellent But read on: there are a few things below that will help you encounter less confusion. you need to email the proof of Bordetella vaccinations to their yahoo account so that they can minimize liability against diseases such as kennel cough. In my case, I never got an email address from them, but was able to find it on there Facebook profile. Search the about page on FB for a yahoo.com account. It's a very long address. Parking is bizarre:The facility is actually located on the grounds with Hard Rock Cafe. You need to pull in as though you are going to Hard Rock Cafe. There's specific spots that you can park in, but when you leave there is a machine that makes it look like you need to show proof of hotel stay by presenting the room key. in fact, you need only take a ticket from the machine as you leave. You then drive our veering right, through a parking lot and you will encounter another machine. Since there's free one hour parking, you can just put the barcode in front of the scanner and the gate will open up without charging you.enjoy!

They must be under high stress because my attempt to make a reservation was led by unwelcoming assumptions on their part and she hung up on me. This review is on how their customer service was handled and not on the services they provide, which I hope is better than their attitude. What assumptions? - I'm sure that bringing my dog's vaccination records is part of the process. I would have safely assumed to do this nonetheless. I just wanted to confirm/consult how they want it. I planned to go straight to Tahoe from Southern California, but my copy of his vaccination records are by paper at my home in the Bay Area. My vet updated his Yelp hours as "special holiday" and is closed... must be traveling. I just asked if a picture of my dog's vaccinations can be accepted. She said "No, they have to be on the vet's letterhead." I said that they are, and she snapped that "I'm not going to argue with you, have your vet email the records." ... like what? I'm shook. I just wanted to clarify. - Then to the part where she just hung up on me. Is my pet neutered? He is not neutered and it sounded like she just got pissed off and told me off to go get dog boarding somewhere else. Well.. damn! He was not neutered for breeding purposes two years ago and would not mind to get him neutered now. The vet near my current location can neuter him tomorrow and told me it's a relatively quick process. All in all, our initial conversation began with her asking for my patience due to phone connections or loud noise where they at or whatever the reason was. It would have been nice to return that patience or be nicer to customers who just wanted to understand your service. Your business is in the same block as where I planned to stay, wished the convenience worked out.

Pet might burn feet on walks. Place seems hot inside. People are nice. They seem to like dogs. Hotel parking is a nightmare.

We board out dog Friday here on occasion when we stay at the Hard Rock. We have always felt out fur baby was safe and well taken care of while here. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating. Even sending pictures to us. We will always recommend and board our dogs here. Thank you Hair of the Dog
