After my stay at the Perennial Vacation Club's Eagles Nest, I've come to the conclusion that this place deserves a resounding one-star rating. Here's the lowdown on this less-than-stellar experience. Outdated Security Measures: In an age where digital convenience is king, this place clings to old-fashioned keys for room and building access. It's 2024, and keycards are the norm, yet here we are, fumbling with metal keys like it's a 1990s sitcom. Random Lockdowns: To add to the frustration, the building gets locked at the most arbitrary times. Imagine returning from a day out, only to find yourself locked out of the building. It's not just inconvenient; it's borderline absurd. Service? What Service?: Don't come here expecting helpful staff. They seem more like decorative pieces than actual support. Any sense of hospitality or guest care seems to be a foreign concept at this establishment. A Price That Defies Logic: The hefty price tag of around $1,700 for a stay here is baffling, especially considering the lack of amenities and service. It's like paying for a luxury car and getting a rundown bicycle. Chore-Heavy Stay: Prepare to do your own dishes and take out the trash, or face additional charges. For the price being paid, this just adds insult to injury. It feels more like a rented apartment with a list of chores than a vacation resort. Conclusion: The Perennial Vacation Club's Eagles Nest is a stark reminder that not all vacation spots are created equal. With its outdated practices, lack of basic amenities, and unhelpful staff, it's a wonder how this place is still in business. Final Rating: One star - and that's only because zero isn't an option. It's a prime example of a vacation gone wrong, a place where relaxation is replaced with frustration and disappointment. Sincerely, An Incredibly Disappointed Guest, Anonymous

Had another pleasant Anniversary dinner on the 24 of October. Watching the sun go down over the lake.

Nice little condo for our week stay. The condo has a kitchen with everything we needed to cook lunch or dinner. The bathroom was small but it's fine since it fit my two kids. I appreciated the washer and dryer in unit!!

Great people! Bought my timeshare there 40 years ago! You don't have to sell your timeshare if you cannot use it anymore, they will take it back!

Enjoyed staying at Eagles Nest. Ski-out and Ski-in close by. The manager Billy is very active in being host and taking care of people. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is great for skiers. Drop into Boulder trail from the back of condo.

We stayed at the Perennial Vacation Club Tahoe Village. There are several buildings, all have stairs, some have many, many stairs. If you have a physical disability, or have issues walking stairs, than this not the place for you. Make sure you bring someone strong and in good shape and not have a heart attack carrying all the luggage up the stairs. All guest check-in at Eagles Nest. The front desk staff are some of the nicest people you will meet. You will receive a parking pass and a physical key to your unit.We stayed in a 2bed/1bath unit. It can sleep up to six, but I would only recommend four. It's not a big unit. The unit had everything you needed to cook meals. The hot water doesn't last long so don't plan on taking a long shower. I never had an issue since my shower is within 60 seconds. We booked this place at the last moment since our usual resort wasn't available. This place doesn't have all the bells and whistle but we still had a good time. This wouldn't be my first choice or second, but I would stay here again since I like the area.

Beware: lots and lots and lots of stairs!!!! The buildings are old, plumbing is old, and walls are paper thin. Parking lot still had snow a week after it snowed so it's icy. My building had an additional steep driveway I had to walk up and the 4 flights of stairs to get to my unit. I read the reviews on Yelp and Trip Advisor so I was prepared. I had my expectations set low so the experience for me was okay. I wanted to ski for a week during the holidays and this place was the only option left with 2 bedrooms and a kitchen. This review is for "Tahoe Village" location and not the "Eagle's Nest" building. Check in was at Eagle's next, but then you have to drive down passed Heavenly Stagecoach and the 5 Tahoe Village buildings are at the bottom. I was at the Ridgeway building. I expected lots and lots and lots of stairs so I was prepared. I didn't know I would also have to walk up a steep & icy driveway to get to the building. They allow you to drive up the driveway to load & unload, but parking is at the bottom. When we checked in, the driveway had icy snow so we carefully walked up lugging all of our stuff.Ridgeway is mostly 2 bedrooms starting at the 2nd floor (unit#I), then 3rd floor (unit#A,B,C,D), then the 3 bedroom is on the 4th floor. Our unit (#D) was outdated, but clean! Beds were okay, but sofa was old. The carpets were clean and the kitchen was fully functional. The walls are so thin, you can hear upstairs footsteps and conversations. When the upstairs flushed the toilet or takes a shower, it sounds like a waterfall is coming down on your unit. It's very loud! Also when upstairs did laundry, it feels like your unit is shaking because the laundry is old and loud. The other thing to note is the very limited hot water. Taking a bath is out of the question because the hot water only last for a 15 minute shower and then turns cold. We had 4 people and had to wait 1 hour between each shower. A short shower is not relaxing when you come home after skiing all day.The staff was very nice and friendly when I went to ask for more toilet paper & Kleenex.Overall this was not a bad option for skiing at Heavenly. We drove to Boulder and it was easier then parking at Stagecoach.Next year, I hope to go back to the Holiday Inn Ridge Tahoe properties instead. It's just much nicer, cozier, and I could take a nice bath.

The advertised pictures do not match the actual unit. When you booked the Eagle's Nest, you better have wings so you can fly up to your room. Why...? Because you have a minimum of 3 stories of climbing and this building doesn't have an elevator. We didn't find this out until we got to the property. Walking up the stairs would be fine if we didn't have all of our gear and luggage. Not to mention the groceries, water, and everything else we had to carry up. Oh.. and what goes up, must come down. We stayed there for a week and it was terrible to walk up all these stairs after skiing all day. Why didn't the resorts mentioned there was no elevator? Oh because if they did, no one would stay there. (for that you get 1 star) Everything else was just okay.

Hanging out at the Eagle's Nest with Billy is a much loved tradition. If you can get him to do it, he makes a mean semi-private dinner at the Nest too. We've had our Perrenial time share membership for over 20 years now, hanging with Billy at the Nest is big part of the reason why.
