My grandmother has been ordering from them for over two decades and I recently took over. Their website is easy to use and their customer service is friendly and efficient. We had some missing items this month and they promptly shipped them. Very happy!

I placed an order with this company on 08/16/2023 and it still has not shipped. Mind you I purchased at least 16 packages, $3,000 to $4,000, per year and consider myself a loyal, frequent customer. Usually, when I do my orders, I request expedited shipping. With this last order, I was not given that option. When I contacted them today, Brenda told me that orders ship within 4-6 days. I pointed out that my order is 8 days old. She said that weekends do not count. So, I asked her if I could get expedited shipping. She said that they no longer offer expedited shipping to the west coast because their warehouse orders are backed up and that my order will ship tomorrow. I just wanted to warn customers about the delayed shipping and about the unconcerned customer service they provide.

This place offers the best quality and services for incarcerated loved ones. Fewer problems and they’re good about telling you what they have in stock. No silly promotional items that make you buy things you really don’t want or need.

My husband received a cd with the wrong song. The catalog had the wrong song listed. Instead of walkenhorst correcting the issue (their mistake) immediately, I was lead on and was treated like an inmate. I talked with supervisors who stated it was above them. One supervisor offered and gave me FREE expedited shipping on my next order. Fast forward, I call to get the FREE SHIPPING and the service rep charged me the shipping!!! I asked her several times if the total was correct and if the shipping was free and she said yes. I asked why the amount was so high and she stated “thats what the price is.” I asked to have the receipt emailed and once I received it i saw i was charged for shipping! I guess I have to accept what I get and be grateful? Very disappointing, unprofessional and demeaning. They know as long as our loved one is in prison we have to spend money with them. That doesn’t mean you can give us any treatment and should not want to!

Walkenhorst is a great company to use for inmate packages in NYS. I have been using them for at least four years and have never had a problem with missing items or long wait times. I previously used them only for non- food items, however, this month I realized how much food they sell and ordered food as well. I definitely trust and recommend Walkenhorst.
