The store was closed for an hour. im the middle of the night. Unknowingly, In stopped for gas. It just happened to be 2 minutes past the 1 hour stocking closure. Initially, the clerk didn't want to reopen the store for the 2 other possibly unhomed people who were waiting in front. When I approached the store and read the sign, I checked the time and noticed the doors should have been open. Reluctantly, the clerk came to the door and started pointing to his invisible watch and shaking his head no! ??? I was turning to leave when he decided to open the doors. I picked up a drink & gummy candies and asked for fuel. I chose the cash back option for $40. Oddly, my card was declined. The clerk scoffed when asking if I wanted to try the same card again. I said yes, im certain the finances are good. I reinserted my card, and the clerk began pushing the buttons on the point of sale machine. Without asking, he declined the cash back option. I told him I wanted the cash back, as that was part of the reason I had stopped at that location. He shrugged as my payment was accepted and said, " You don't have enough money. "... what the what??? I told him that, in fact, I do. I considered picking up a small item to buy, just to get the cash back I came for.. but I was too tired to argue, and instead, I chose to leave.Honestly, there was more than enough money to cover the $40 cash back. Im slightly offended by the clerks attitude.If that's the worst occurrence in my day, though, it's been an easy one!Just note to self & now to others...Maybe that isn't the best location to stop late at night. There are plenty of other gas stations that will offer inoffensive service!

Windshield scrubers bens are all out of water and neglected. Employee sitting outside smoking close to the front door. Worst gas station ever! And very expensive!

It's a gas station.. Pumps work fine.. Conveniently on the way out of the outlets.. Plus signed up for fuel rewards. Quick & easy.

Matt was working the counter at the E.Lincoln Sparks store #163 on 8/24/22. Excellent service with a smile. It was evident he enjoyed his job. Kudos to Matt!
