5645 Pyramid Way, SparksThis was the most difficult decision a momma could make. I haven't been on vacation for over a decade. Leading up to the trip we did doggie daycare once a week. By the time the trip rolled around the dogs were "settled." Kayla sent me pictures and let me know our "kids" we're doing amazing during their 7day stay. She gave them both baths the last day (extra fee). We picked up one and she looked like a new puppy!! She cried when we left ? the kennel. My hubby went back and got his boy once his bath was completed. We will most definitely be continuing to use their services.

I used this place for many years, it had glitches before where it soaped up my car and stopped working, I called the number and they gave me code for new wash at different station. I think they fixed it because had no issues lately. Car looks clean enough for a wash without getting out of the car. Gets bugs off the windshield.

After a few weeks of treatment, it was determined that old age was catching up and his systems were failing. With a heavy heart, we decided to euthanize. We were given all the time needed to say our final farewell's. The vets, Drs Williams and Lopez, were the best ever. The staff were very supporting and gave their condolences. I'm sure it was as difficult for them as it was for my wife and me. My sincerest thanks and appreciation for all of their care and attention. Don't hesitate to take your precious to PVH. They're the best!!!

2001 Prater Way, SparksI recently switched here to get quicker service(we could NEVER get in at our last vet), and I have nothing but great things to say. The staff in the front is helpful, attentive, and accommodating. You can tell they've placed extra touches in the waiting area to make it as comfortable and anxiety free as possible for their patients. Sarah Behren's is my vet and she's been absolutely phenomenal. She loves our animals like they're her own, and they love her right back. So far, they've taken the extra mile for all our animals, without trying to sell us on stuff we don't need, and they truly LISTEN to us during and outside our appointments. Even though I'm sure the office is packed and busy, they always make us feel like they haven't forgotten our pets. I'm very impressed and we'll be customers for the long haul.

700 Baring Blvd, SparksThe staff at VCA have now saved our pup's life twice! The first time he was diagnosed with Addison's disease, and the second time with bladder stones. We are regular visitors, since our little guy now needs daily & monthly meds, and I won't take him anywhere else. The wait times are sometimes a bit long, due to the fact that they are an urgent care center as well, but we love the service and knowledge of their staff! I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for great care for their fur babies.

760 Baring Blvd, SparksMy furbaby was diagnosed with liver cancer by another vet in town and that vet said my dog only had a wk or two weeks to live. Despite the news being devastating, I searched for a second opinion and was directed to Dr.Baker and his wonderful team. Long story short, Dr.Baker and his team worked quickly to find the best care despite there being limited options for my pup. The option we chose was the chemo treatment and we did see some successes. If it wasn't for their care we wouldn't have had an extra year with our furbaby, Bourbon. My pup had many health challenges though and Dr.Baker was very responsive even scheduling visits on his lunch break to make sure our furbaby had the best care. As far as billing goes- if you have pet insurance this team submits claims on your behalf and it doesnt matter which insurance company you have. This was very helpful for us!! As far as compassionate- they are the best and our furbaby loved it here too. After our furbaby completed the chemo treatment program, Lisa and the team gifted Bourbon a sowed bear and a personalized dog tag that said "cancer survivor." They really do the little things that matter here. I can't say enough great things about the team. YOU CAN TRUST THEM WITH YOUR FURBABY!! Thank you- Dr. Baker, Dr. Parke, Shannon, CJ, Alex, Hannah, Ashleigh, & Lisa for all the love you gave Bourbon ??

2160 Victorian Ave, SparksThere aren’t enough descriptive words to describe the admiration and respect I have for the owner of Pack Perfect Canine, Marie.In the summer of 2022 we brought home our sweet boy Bernedoodle. Pretty darn cute and so very affectionate, however, the most difficult dog we’ve ever attempted to train. I searched and interviewed dog trainers for a good 6 months, so many of them do not give the one on one attention and affection that I wanted for Sunny, also many don’t tell you that once you have dropped your dog off they farm them out to other trainers. I was getting pretty discouraged as I had been looking in a wide Northern and central California area. One day while sitting in our Lake Tahoe home I googled dog trainers in the Reno area, I read through many websites and reviews until I came to Pack Perfect Canine, all of the reviews were 5 star. In reading the reviews and about her approach to dog training I was intrigued and hopeful, not to mention that her rates were among the more reasonable. Once I had spoken with Marie she invited and encouraged me to come out to her facility for a visit. The facility is perfect for the dogs with a large yard, dedicated shade and romping area as well as an indoor air conditioned area. Best of all though is Marie herself, she is so positive, confident, reassuring, and patient both with our dog and me. In the Spring of 2023 while Sunny was in training I received daily videos and reports. I marveled at the many hikes in the open area as well as city outings Sunny was being exposed to all while being trained and he was thoroughly enjoying his time with Marie. Sunny came home with the ability to listen and respond to commands. I had my doubts when I dropped him off as he was a serious bolter out the door, he loved to yank my arm out of my socket while on leash walks, if you called for him he would run in the opposite direction. The Sunny I picked up after his three weeks with Marie was such a pleasant, marvelous dog to have and be with. He is still very playful and affectionate but we are no longer stressed about taking him anywhere!Thank you Marie, as far as we’re concerned you are a “dog whisperer”.

Aunt Kim's Dog House Boarding
325 5th St, SparksOur family was traveling through Reno and we wanted to explore the city for the day, so I found Aunt Kim on Yelp and she immediately got back to me and agreed to pet sit our mini dachshund that same day (Father's Day). It was a very easy, simple drop-off and pick-up process. Aunt Kim let us view the backyard and house while we were there too. Fee was phenomenally LOW for watching our pup for 6 hours! We definitely recommend Aunt Kim if you want to avoid all the red tape and high costs of other pet daycares in town. :)

The Bark House

The workers are so loving and caring towards Astro. When I drop Astro off now, he runs out and straight to the front door of the facility. He's so eager to see his friends and the workers. We are very appreciative to find such a great daycare.

We meet former NorCal folks who choose to retire in Reno/Sparks, and hasn't regretted it. The atmosphere was upbeat. The bartenders were All awesome and knowledgeable when it came to beers on tap. The host of bingo night was hilarious. We're mosdef coming back.

1311 Baring Blvd, SparksOh my, how I forget how good this little fast food restaurant is until I have it. It's been years and last visit was at their Reno location with my last pregnancy. My kids asked for burgers last week and we rushed to get through their drive thru before the Mendive and Reed students got out of school. We ordered a Spicy papa burger, two cheese burger combos and an order of their corn dog bites! They are so good here! I'm a sucker for a sweet and salty snack! They gave us a coupon for free kid's cone on our next visit, but we dug into quick to get and photos of our food! We were all starving after our dental cleanings! I'll definitely be back for a spicy papa and an order of their corn dogs! Their fries here are a personal favorite!

Dutch Bros Coffee
5085 Pyramid Way, SparksOMG. I never understood the hype for Dutch Bros. Coffee. I thought coffee was just coffee until coming here. But, this coffee is so much better than other brands and shops. The flavor is so good and intense. Something about it is just more flavorful than other shops. I love how they are able to get everyone through the line in a quick and friendly manner. No matter how long the line the turn around is always quick. So if you have never tried Dutch Bros. Coffee I highly suggest you give it a try. My favorite is a caramel Breve.
