“I have to say working with the Reno Sparks gospel mission has been a very pleasant experience. Stephanie the dispatcher made things happen for me in such a short amount of time. My father has been in the hospital for many weeks and had to put his house up for sale. I needed to have them come out as soon as possible so I can get things donated from the home she accommodated me while I live out of state and made everything so easy. I hope that the items that I had previously donated and the ones that I will donate come this Thursday. Help somebody out a great big thank you to this donation service and thank you Stephanie for all of your help.!”

“Connie is super friendly and helpful. A very clean and convenient location. A great place to"Turn your loved items into someone else's treasures "I hope more people donate instead of throwing away. You could totally make someone's day with the items you may think are just garbage. And to people in the comments that gave it a 1 ? rating because you say it's a drop off and not a store, well it kinda clearly states that in the title.Donation Xpress.Lame reason to give this organization a 1 ?.”

“I contacted Safe Embrace for help by filling out a form on their website. One of the advocates reached out to me by the next day. Words cannot explain how grateful I feel for everyone at Safe Embrace that has helped me and my kids. The understanding and support they gave me finally made me realize that I am strong all by myself.”

“Nevada's motto is All For Our Country. Here's a Veterans Memorial for those Nevadans who wrote a blank check to the USA for up to and including their life.My family and I attended this Nevada Veterans Memorial Plaza Ribbon Cutting. Organizers did a good job of coordinating event, explaining Memorial, setting up; getting volunteers, and cleanup. Many Veterans in attendance as well as representation from local, state and Federal government, Sparks High School Marching Band performing Nevada's State Song Home Means Nevada, Nevada National Guard, Gold Star Families of which my family is one -- an honor no one wants, local business, Chamber of Commerce, several Veterans organizations, Northern Nevada State Veterans Home who transported several of its resident Veterans, and news Reno Gazette Journal which we're in a couple of their photos posted online, KOLO Channel 8 which we're in their video posted online and KTVN Channel 2.As I always do during our visits to any Veterans' memorial, I silently cried. For I hear young voices. They softly say: when you go home, tell them of us and that for your tomorrow, we gave our today. Again I stood there to recognize, honor, respect, and grieve at the sacrifice of GIs. For they left too many pieces of their youth in too many battles for too many years. All Veterans memorials commemorate that the highest obligation and privilege of citizenship is that of bearing arms for one's country. Nevada Veterans Memorial Plaza is a personal conversation held in a public space to give remembrance to when a state sees its military men and women sent to war and not return. Here's a pilgrimage site that evokes feelings of reverence from and for Veterans and their families and friends. Here is Hallowed and Sacred ground. Ground consecrated by the deaths of those this Veterans Memorial is there to remember and honor for their Service and ultimate sacrifice for we the living and our country's survival. That means never is yelling or playing done here. That includes but is not limited to pokemon players. kake.com/story/32465440/… and military.id.me/community…Being a Veteran myself and part of a Military Family that has ancestors that has Served in before and since the American War for Independence, and children and cousins who have Served since I did, I know Veterans answered the call from God and Country. Isaiah 6:8 ESV: And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" Then I said, "Here am I! Send me."With this Veterans Memorial, Northern Nevada now has two outstanding locations for Veterans and Veterans organizations to hold Veterans events. The other is the plaza at Northern Nevada State Veterans Home.As we walked around the Memorial, I see Veteran Ron Smith's vision continue to come to life. U.S. Navy Veteran Ron Smith was 25th mayor of Sparks, worked in grocery industry for some 40 years, and Served two tours during Viet Nam war for which his exposure to Agent Orange there finally ended his life for not everyone who lost their life in Viet Nam died there. There's a variety of seating. Trees've been planted. There are many donor bricks permanently in the ground or walls. The vast majority of them chose to have something engraved to commemorate a Veteran or all Veterans. A very small minority is only engraved with a business name and nothing about a Veteran or Veterans. Although I'm grateful for all who've donated to the construction of this Veterans Memorial, I just don't see myself patronizing a business that sees their donation as only a way to permanently advertise their business. There were beautiful, passionate, rousing, and moving speeches by Brigadier General Michael Peyerl of Nevada National Guard, and Colonel Kat Miller, US Army Retired and retired Director of Nevada Department of Veterans Services as both their speeches brought me to tears. I sure hope the Colonel runs for political office.Announced rather proudly by the vainglory master of ceremonies, a Sparks Cou”

“This organization offers so many fabulous stewardship programs. Our entire family has benefited from the exposure to a number of volunteer opportunities, not to mention the chance to enjoy the natural beauty and ecology of Nevada.”
